Because 4th is an achievement for us. We spend much less than You, City, United, Chelsea and Liverpool making 6th the position we should finish on money spent.
Yep...cos the massive 30 to 40 million MORE you spend each year on wages and have done for years don't count. You are a very well run club ... You have been more successful but you do out spend us
Ah well we might be **** at the moment, but at least our ****e can still beat your lot 5-2 everytime we play you
10th in the league springs to mind - again. Anyway I'm off now as this is boring. Enjoy MOTD tonight. I'm sure your next response will be that we messed up a 10 point gap last season, but you have no Van Persie this season to single handedly carry your team.
Podolski and Giroud have got as many goals as RVP had at this stage last season, so I'd still fully expect us to overtake you again
im sorry , maybe its just me but ........ i dont see any mention in there of them being not great because they are spurs players. Is it written in invisible ink ? Cant see it ...
Okay perhaps I am reading more into your comments than you intended, and its not because they played for Spurs that you don't rate Ardiles, Hoddle or Gascoigne, I think all 3 were great players and here I will leave it, but I do wonder if there are any Spurs players (other than Campbell, though I agree he was) who you would consider great ..Klinsmann maybe i'll let you choose there must be one!!!
From the 00-01 season to the 10/11 season you've spent £911mill on wages compared to our £525mill spent on wages in the same period. Transfers are always debatable as they don't come from financial reports like wages do but I think it's safe to say we've spent an awful lot less than the £390mill net more than you in that period
You can't blame Spurs fans for glorifying 4th (failure). Coming 4th is an achievement to any side that hasn't won the Premier League (in this current set up). Liverpool are an exception to the rule due to past successes. Before Abramovich came in I viewed any 3rd/4th place finish as success because we couldn't compete with United/Arsenal or even Liverpool financially but it would at least allow us to compete in Europe. The mentality of viewing 4th as success can only be blamed on UEFA who devalued the PL as a competition especially with their coefficient rank nonsense. I've said for 8 years now I'd much rather just go back to the old format where by Champions League means Champions ONLY in a knock out format with the 2nd and 3rd place teams being entered in a UEFA Cup (knock out). I get 1st, 2nd and even 3rd place bearing significance but finishing 4th place historically never has meant anything.
