It's kinda hard when they crammed the defence so well. But I understand what you're saying.

my player ratings for today .

ZERO for the entire team .

    anyone still disagree ?

we laugh at chelsea today but at least they scored , and they were away .

    Spuds win 3 nil away.

    and we get this shambles.

A 7 for Vermaelen. We coulda lost 3 or 4-0 without his defending.

I actually thought we had a good second half, the first 20 mins of it was just us attacking the Swansea goal, we then had a ptach where they had a couple of chances but then we looked dominanat again. The problem is we completely forgot about defending at the end and got carried away throwing bodies forward to find a goal.

Both Goalkeepers played really well, with different men between the sticks there would have been a handful of goals for both teams. The save szcs made where he caught the ball in a one-on-one and when the swansea keeper caught vermaelens header were both amazing saves. Both keepers made otherb rilliant saves as well.

Or we could have not conceded the first goal if he had applied pressure when the move started...

If Wenger comes and out claims that we should have had a pen when Chico got the ball from Giroud, then I will be fuming. Never ever a pen.

Yeah Vermaelen was our only decent performer.

Im running out of patience with Wenger now, the excuse of not being able to compete financially works when you fall just short but not anymore

I don't know why people are complaining. We are slowly building a team so that one day we can challengethe mighty Swansea at home.

Nevertheless despite conceding two goals the defense wasn't the issue. We didn't look like we could score, and IMO taking off Gervinho instead of Walcott with how cramped their defense was was the wrong call.

Walcott STILL useless as all **** against dense defenses. His runs towards 3-4 players without a plan were mildly amusing though.

We were much better and with a bit better luck we probably would have won this game.

Fair play to Swansea though, they played well and took their chances.

Fact is though, that we are in the **** and we desperately need to turn this around.

The good news is that the result for 4th spot kind went our way ... everton drew (could have won),west brom and chelsea lost. The different between 3rd spot and 10th spot is FIVE points.

I wish we entered January now because it would mean we would def spend some money. If we, by some miracle, manage to win the next few games....then Arsene might think we are back on track and doesn't need to spend.

He can finish but his dribbling is really poor for a wide player. When he actually beats a couple players it's either pace or just somehow stumbling through them.

Arteta and Cazorla have been run into the ground. Not buying another mid after Song left and trusting Diaby was criminal.

I wouldn't worry too much about our position, it's a poor result and one we could have done without, but the teams above us are all playing each other over there next few games and we have a string "winnable" games ahead of us. So i still think we are in a position to obtain a decent league position, ready for some January signings.

I think we are crying out for a DM.

All of our problems are coming from allowing oppo teams too much time on the ball in MF and putting us on the back foot.

I think we also need another striker. I like Giroud, but he can't do it all on his own. At the moment, Gervinho and Podolski are not offering much at all. If we lose Walcott too, we've got **** all up front.

I do agree that defence isn't the issue. Strangely, midfield seems to be the issues. I say strangely, because on paper that's where we are strongest.

The space between midfield and defence is too easily exploited and our full-backs don't get anywhere near enough support. At the start of the second half, Arteta and Wilshere were hounding Swansea's midfield and making them commit errors but they didn't keep it up all game. Our players don't do the basics like tracking back, marking, pressuring the ball.

A separate point but I'm also tired of Gibbs, Sagna, Jenkinson or whoever is crossing, flinging the ball in when there's nobody in the box. It's a waste of possession and usually it gives the ball back to the opposition for a counter.

I am just wondering - is it worth keeping my SKY subscription? Match of the Day could well be enough.
