Dan i looked at him but was attracted to RENARD who looks weighted to go close on ground that should suit, good luck <oK>
Good shout about Junior in the Gold Cup as he didnt like it in either of the Nationals. He won off 155 today so only 10lb short of gold cup class. Argento as a prep, GC., then after that Bet365 at Sandown might be a good option
McCririck brilliant "The bookies have been slaughtered ............. they're queueing up in droves to be paid out" Bad day for the layers at Newbury
Upturn to what has been a frustrating day. Hunters Lodge 3rd, Joxer an unlucky 4th, Gores Island looked like he was going to play a massive part at 33/1 before clouting 3 out after having come from last 2 second on the bridle
Not a bad day at all, winner with Ulck Du Lin and a EW return thanks to Hold On Julio plugging on. However, the day was all about Bob's Worth, who looks one to fear in the Gold Cup at Cheltenham, with the knowledge that he excels up the hill and should improve further after this impressive win, and he looks the best of the UK horses at this stage. I think the way he travels and finishes makes him the one to beat and he may well be the one this year to start to fill the void left by Kauto Star and Denman. Throw in a great performance from Tidal Bay (where do you go with him? - surely the Gold Cup wouldn't be suitable) carrying weight and wins for other Nicholls runners and it has been another informative Saturday. I even go into next weekends card with a free bet on the first, with thanks to Bet365.
congrats to bobs worth, big buck's and countrywide flame today, and also good old bog warrior. and well done all who backed them. hope it was a successful day all round oh yes, and a super race by tidal bay. great day's racing, i've had internet trouble so i had to pick all my horses after they'd bolted but i managed to avoid the results beforehand. even if i had seen them i still might still have picked something different in case the result was different when i watched the replay
