The Not606 Mafia Game I Ok Ladies(?) & Gentleman, this is the first attempt we've had at a Mafia game, so I imagine this'll be slightly experimental as we figure out how to run it best. The story: An intrepid group not not606ers have taken a trip to the Chinese Grand Prix...by bus. But, little do they know, not everyone in their midst is a friend. On the bus, there are two anonymous murderers! As the trip progresses, each night the pesky killers wake up, and bump off an unsuspecting fan. During the hours of mindless tedium as the bus travels to and from the grand prix, the not606ers remaining must work out who they think the killers are, and so that they feel safe before going to bed, they lynch a not606er each night. In their group, there's a doctor and a cop too, to help them work out who the killers are. Will they catch the killers before nobody's left standing? Or will the not606ers figure out who the killers amongst them are, and make it safely to and from the Chinese Grand Prix? How it works: If this sounds like something you're interested in, post in this thread so I know who's interested. Please take into account this might require you to be active on the forum relatively frequently, so it's not for those posting infrequently. Once I know who's playing, I'll randomly assign the roles of killers, cop, doctor and simple fans by PM. Once roles are assigned, we'll begin day/night cycles: Night: When people know their roles, a night will consist of each member with a special role PM-ing me the name of the player who they want to kill/save/investigate (see below). Where necessary, I'll reply with what's needed. Day: Once the night cycle has finished, I will post a new thread, explaining the events of the night before (like who's died). The thread is then a free-for-all (for rules see below) for people to argue who they think the killers are. When you've heard enough to make your mind up, post Vote: <Insert Name> in the thread, and after a set time period (2 or 3 days?), the person with the most votes will be lynched, and then a new night cycle will start. If at any point you wish to change your vote in the light of a new argument, please edit your first vote, rather than posting a second one. Roles: The murderers: Two murderers will be elected, and will know the identity of each other, but will be unknown to everyone else. During each night cycle, between them they must decide who to kill, then PM me the name of the person they wish to assassinate. The cop: The cop will also be elected anonymously by PM from me. Each night, they will PM me the name of someone they wish to find out the identity of. I will then reply to them by PM telling them whether the person they asked about is a killer or not. (The doctor will not be revealed this way) The doc: As with the others, the doctor is anonymously informed of their status by PM. Each night, they PM me the name of one person they wish to save from assassination. This can be themselves or any other member. Fans: Those not allocated a special role are simply fans, they either sleep blissfully through the night, or get brutally murdered in their sleep. They are most involved in the day cycle, where they try and argue over who they think the killer is. Rules: Yes people are being brutally murdered left, right and centre, but please by nice to each other in all discussions. The cop, the doctor, and the fans, can all be murdered. For now, we'll stop the killers tactically bumping each other off for simplicity. If someone is killed in a night cycle, their identity will forever be a mystery, people killed in a day cycle will cry out their role as their dying words Once killed, you are not allowed to post in the 'day' threads, vote on polls, or talk to anyone about the game via PM Only the murderers are allowed to communicate with each other by PM. All other discussion must take place in the 'day' threads. During the game, you can claim to be anyone you want (Ie, the killer could claim to be the cop), but, you can never provide any definitive proof of your identity (like printscreens of your initial PM). You can present an argument as to why you are who you say you are, but never physical evidence If I've missed something, I reserve the right to add to the rules as needed, and if an independent adjudicator is required, my decision will be final. Given the Alonso/Vettel spat seems to be dying down, I think I can safely return to this forum (unless someone in this game kills me! ). I like the look of this. so I'm in EDIT: Instead of two killers, wouldn't it be hilarious if two people were LewisWDC?
You don't need polls DH. Just need to post - Vote: <Insert Name> in the thread then the host can count it that way. Especially seeing as people might want to change their votes after reading what happens with the accused. Anyway I'm in.
The thing is if I did die first mate I would know for a fact you are one of the murderer's because we both know what happens when we are against each other in any game. Either it be WOW, MW2, Black ops, SWTOR it's the same ending, we always go after each other first! and anybody who gets in our way usually dies in the process. We are born and bred "campers" through and through in the gaming world, if you weren't slightly younger than me mate I would swear you were my psychic twin! Brother from another mother yo! But you know I would know that so you wouldn't kill me first, you would kill me 3rd or 5th to not make me twig. Then again.............100% of this group would want me dead in this game, the doctor wont save my ass that's for sure no stealth like my druid, no ninja or heartbeat monitor like COD2, no rapid fire AUG etc... be a sitting duck just waiting to be cooked!
