Tricky quandary. I suppose it depends on how sure you are you'll stay with the missus, and how keen you are to avoid surgery. It's a simple procedure, and can be reversed. Unfortunately, it can't be successfully reversed in every case, and will be very expensive to attempt. In short, think very hard about this. It should not be a snap decision. I think approximately 5% of those who have vasectomies get the reversal surgery, but I'm sure that figure would rise somewhat if the cost of the procedure was reduced.

You got any idea which way you are going to go on this one, Luv? I get the impression that you are none too keen on the idea.

Edit: whether intentional or not, people on here are confusing a vasectomy with castration. Only castration will impact on hormone production and lead to lethargy and weight gain. With a vasectomy, you still produce bullets but they no longer come out of the gun.
