Didnt read the whole article. Quickly looked like a load of rubbish to me. Wasnt going to waste my time.

They write about Rodgers saying things like 'fantastic result' in interviews after draws etc.

Notice that Rodgers says exactly the same in every interview.

He doesnt give a crap about post match interviews. He just gets them over and done with with out giving any thing away. He keeps his real thoughts behind closed doors, between him, his players and his staff.

Watch his body language. You can often tell he is disappointing, angry and/or frustrated, despite using words like fantastic.

Dont read any thing into his interviews.

He is working very hard. Our style of player, performances and defending has improved, but he is still building his squad. The squad is limited and means his teams have had to be quite makeshift on a regular basis.

We lack three things. A lack of forward players, penetration and goals. Fix issue one and two and three should get fixed to.

I'm glad this Whiney bitch is around otherwise I'd be taking every word out of our Brendan's mouth literally and think we've been fabulously outstanding and dance with joy at every draw while making my 7th place rosette in anticipation........

Truth be told though... we're not doing much better than we did under Woy.

Look better now, but still the lack of wins.

There is one major difference. Woy looked terrible two years after we were two points from the title and inherited a still decent squad.

Rodgers inherited a team that had played bad under under performing managers for two years. Most of the best players of yesteryear were gone or aged.

Rodgers isn't achieving much more than Woy... its just he is starting from a worse position.

It does make my skin crawl though when he compliments mediocraty. I'm not itching to rid ourselves of Rodgers like I was Roy... I don't think we will win any silverware while Rodgers is in charge but I don't think he is as long term dangerous for the club in the way woy woz.

I think Rodgers will keep us steady as a mid table team and occasionally challenge for Europa... we're not likely to decline rapidly like we did with Roy.

Valley... I think that is down to owners... Fox had already got agreement to film behind scenes before Rodgers came to us.

Rodgers is 38 years old. He hasnt been in this game long. Not many people get to manage at this level at this age. Chelsea's last two managers were younger but got the sack. One was also sacked by West Brom (and replaced by Hodgson).

Hodgson was 64 when he managed us. He has one titles in other countries, got low rated countries to International quarter finals, managed Fulham, taking them to the Europa league final and regularly referred to his 30 years of experience.

These factors make the two situations very very different.

If we give Rodgers team, he has the rest of his life to build a great career.

If we had given Hodgson time he would have been ready to retire after few years.

like jk it only took a few lines to realise it was a load of crap.

saying hodgson basically went out of his way to sign bad players knowing they'd fail and then somehow us fans got him the sack despite some suthern (and manc) conspiracy.

    its total and utter rot.

we are crap for good reason, not roy hodgson. not some conspiracy but a consistent and perennial lack of true professionalism in all aspects of the club. you can get away with being a "club" in the 80s run to play football and sign a few players for small money but the minute the really BIG moeny started we got found out. we were run like it was the 50s and we have NEVER developed the strucutres that other clubs like even chelsea developed in a couple of years.

are FSG developing that? not so sure given their lack of external hires and swapping in and out FSG insiders who then mess up.

Frankly compared to the side who dominated since big moeny came into play we are a joke. utd built thier stadium and team while we were pricking about whining about 12mil to build the centenary stand and 3.5mil to buy paddy berger... moores, parry, G&H.... wasters. unprofessional, inconsistent, sound bite merchants.

If we only have 20mil per year to spend fine.. be straight with us werner.. we spent it.. let face reality of 12th and ensure we sell all the dead wood and build a club form scratch. If there really is 15-20mil more to spend i njanuary why the hell not spend it aug 31..

joke decisions, no-one can justify them to any nuetral observer as anything but an amateur hour joke... thats the harsh reality.

Mistakes can always be made, ferguson signed klberson, bebe and veron to name but a few but goddammit (americanism) he never got anything but the uptmost effort cos any drop was met with severe punishment... we just pat lads on the back and say hard luck try again next week... he's bloody laughing at us and has done for bloody years...

No name calling, threatening behaviour or any other nonsense and you want to ban someone just because they disagree with your point of view. Are you sure ?

We get Liverpool fans visiting our board and none of us call for bans, you would be setting a dangerous precedent.

Hodgson was managing a club that was imploding.

Under those circumstances it is difficult to see how any Manager would have faired much better

The admin/ownership side of the club was in turmoil but that had no direct effect on Hodgson, he slipped up with his rejoicing in defeat bullshit and sucking up to Ferguson on day 1 of his short time with us.

It flies in the face of all available evidence to suggest that a Club collapsing around the Managers ears had little or no effect on the performance on the pitch.

**** rolls downhill. All the way from the boardroom to the dressing room.

Sorry i must have missed us 'collapsing', i saw us almost go into administration, a courtcase and new owners take over but our new or old owners never chose the team or the tactics during Hodgsons time here did they?

We the supporters were the deciding factor as to why Hodgson got his P-45.
