Absolute spineless bastards, both the club and the West Yorkshire Swine Force for ruining all chances of it being a truly great atmosphere:

Shove your hypersensitivity up your arses. Not a single punch will be thrown all night, guaranteed. Nor would it have been with 5000 Chelsea there or Leeds in the SSL, just fans singing at each other (although even that sets the poor, coddled police on edge these days apparently). Hope the cuts hit those bastards hard and they suffer in pain.

Oh, and Bates gets a nice profit from all the fans forced to go into the expensive East Upper. ****.

After discussions with the Police, in light of the recent Court judgement , it was determined that the unrecoverable costs (from Leeds United) of preventing the potential for disorder, if 5000 fans from Chelsea were present, was not an acceptable sum to be bourne by the Police.

What did you expect - you can virtually guarantee now that the money Ken Bates has saved by taking on the WYP re charges will be lost to these restrictions - how many games will Leeds now have to play on 12.00 Saturday lunchtime?
If you manage to get to the Premiership in the distant future - you'll have to play virtually every home game at silly O'Clock with minimal amounts of tickets given to away fans!!

    Ridiculous, isn't it?

Police try to get Leeds to pay for overpolicing outside club property -> unfair -> we win the case.
Police **** Leeds over with KO changes and steal club's right to sell its own seats to its own fans -> unfair.

Hopefully LUST will be making some noise about this.

The tickets would have been 26 quid in the South Stand, but it's a fair point otherwise from the eel-muncher.

Plus the atmosphere we lose from our noisiest end only being 1/3 full. Team will suffer from this due to the support they'll lose out on. Bad decision all round.

Should have given Chelsea the current West Stand allocation as well as that side of the South Stand (upper and lower) and given the same to Leeds on the other side of the South, in the same way as when we played Charlton and Exeter in L1.

No segregation of this sort even for Man U, and there was no major trouble in the ground whatsoever.

I think this is out of order, and Leeds should appeal this police decision on a matter of principle. Does that mean that the next demonstration scheduled for London will be restricted to 3000 people too? And what about the Notting Hill Carnival, which has a higher casualty rate than any football match? Is that going to be postponed? The answer to both is NO, as WYP will not be involved. They have made this decision themselves as a way of getting bac at LUFC. There should be a national policy for this - it shouldn't be left to the bickering politics of a local police force. Our MP should have been contacted, and the matter raised in the House.

Any respect I had left for the police is slowly sapping away.

If you look at the bigger picture you have cause for concern.

I'm sure GFH's investment will want a return + interest, and to do that they'd need the fans back at ER in full force - if there is going to be a permanent cap on your gates by WYP they are not going to achieve their targets - very dangerous ground for them and you <ok>

its not just the 2,000 away fans that will be missing either, people will get pissed off with all the K.O. TIME CHANGES
and many home fans will stop going too, and could have a disasterous effect on next seasons season ticket sales <ok> people who buy season tickets regularly might not because of the uncertainty involved <ok>

For some reason, there were no OB present in the ground at our place on Tuesday night when we played Palace.

Needless to say, **** all happened regardless.

The basic gist of this is that the club has missed out from yet another "cost cutting" measure that fails to account for the big picture.

It is the police throwing their teddy out of bed because of losing the court case. bates and his stupid ****ing court cases. When will the world be rid of people like him?

Bates is obviously a ****, but I'm not sure he's to blame for this one.

Fact is, OB **** up fixtures on a regular basis, for absolutely no good reason.

Outside of some grief with Cardiff and Millwall and a bit of a kick off with the Udders a while back, there's no good reason for moving our kick-off times against all the Yorkshire clubs. We have midweeks with your lot every season and I can't even remember a single ruck in the last twenty years.

The extent they are going to with this one, it's quite clear they are being difficult on account of losing the court case for policing fees.

Not really Marco - Leeds refuse to pay the extra so why should they get the extra service?
I'm sure the West Yorkshire taxpayer will have something to say about that when there are 1000s of potholes the money could be used to repair. Simple fact is they have had their budget cut already and now they are not getting the extra money from the club they probably can't afford the extra resources - Ken Bates has made a very thorny bed that the new owners will have to lie in - Is there a way around it - You can't now offer to pay for it as a court has ordered that you shouldn't and you can't get extra security for outside your property - one great bid mess that must have your new owners ****ting bricks <ok>

Kenny Bates' farewell gift perhaps <ok>

Police costs had to be cut,ken bates wrote the other season about Leeds being charged £50,000 to police a handful of millwall fans.Think this will eventually lead to very few or zero away fans allowed at games as other police forces are forced to cut costs as well.won't effect millwall though as they get lost outside London so don't travel anyway.

We don't want the 'extra' ****ing 'service', which basically comprises of massive amounts of horse-**** on the streets of Town, loads of vans everywhere and a few fluorescent-jacketed freaks pointing cameras at anyone walking near the train station. It does **** all to prevent trouble, and there's no reason a club should be responsible for anything that happens off its property.

Bates was right to get that court case, and the judge was right to rule against the parasitical ****s known as West Yorkshire Police.

They are entirely to blame for the petty return of fire which is the kickoff changes and ruining of our atmosphere at the Chelsea game. I say take it one step further and handle all the security even inside the ground, keep these pigs away from our famous club.

If any coppers profess to support Leeds and believe in what's best for our fans, they should quit and get a proper job.

Maybe we could employ ex-Yorkshire Regiment personnel in the ground - they will be firm and able to take orders without having any conscience in kicking the hell out of any soft Southerners :)

You could even let them use plastic bullets, but you can bet there'd be pandemonium if they fired them - all those dirty Yorkshire birds would be scrapping over the bullets <ok>
