No probs Oslo. __________________________________________________ A load of tickets still available : https://www.eticketing.co.uk/qpr/details/event.aspx?itemref=4822 There was me thinking it was a big game.
Biggest game since Man City at the end of last season, imo. Not only to stay attached to the pack, but also because if we're seen as dead meat by Jan, it must surely make it more difficult for Harry to bring in worthy players, even on loan. We'll just end up with more journeymen mercenaries.
If we lose tomorrow it would be worth selling off any players worth anything. Prices are high in January and we'll need to get ready for the championship. However we WILL WIN, Villa aren't all that and Lambert's a miserable sod.
Can't stand him. _______________________________________________ Redknapp will finally deliver #QPR’s first win as Aston Villa visit Loftus Road http://shar.es/6ubv3 via @sharethis
Harry Redknapp has warned his rock-bottom Queens Park Rangers squad that beating Aston Villa tomorrow is essential to their bid for Barclays Premier League survival. The new QPR manager takes charge of his first home game tomorrow against Paul Lambert's Aston Villa and his side prop up the table with only five points after 14 games. Redknapp, however, insists he can yet pull off an escape act and keep the Hoops in the top flight, but he is under no illusions as to how crucial tomorrow’s game is. He said: ‘We’ve got to give the fans something to cheer; a good performance with plenty of effort and play our football. You look at the league table it’s going to be tough. ‘The atmosphere tomorrow is going to be important. It’s not about me – it’s about picking up three points if we can; moving off the bottom and certainly getting closer to the pack. It’s a big, big game. The atmosphere will be massive for us tomorrow; really push us on. We’ve got to get the three points tomorrow. ‘I’m optimistic. I think we can do it. I’ve not come here to age myself another 10 years – I think it can be done. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t have come here. ‘It’s a club who have made the effort and deserve to stay in the league. They had a go in the summer. We’ve got to build the club for the next few years and push onwards and upwards. ‘Who knows how many points you’re going to need. Teams have stayed up with 30-odd. You don’t know, but let’s get a win quickly and that will boost confidence. 'At Portsmouth, we looked pretty desperate, but you just need that one result to ut a run together. We scored an injury-time goal against Manchester City and we came in afterwards and it was like we’d won the Cup. We went on a run. That’s what we need now – we need a win. ‘I think we’ve got the players. There’s enough talent here. Their attitude and ability I thought was excellent in training yesterday. The intensity was fantastic.' Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...remier-League-survival-bid.html#ixzz2DhtigiOi

Cheers North. A bit like the R's, I think this thread could get you on a run and propel you back to your former glory. I like the way Redknapp has embarrassed the players a bit since he's come in. As bad as Hughes was, the players showed themselves up with their lack of effort on more than one occasion. It took the return of the old guard to put a bit of pride back in the shirt after the Saints debacle. What he's doing is basically telling the players to have a bit of pride in themselves and their profession and see if they can be men and dig themselves out of this hole. I think its in all of them (with the possible exception of Cisse) to live up to their reputation and reward the supporters for their loyalty.
