Before I start, I know these might be trivial but... ...when Hearts kicked off originally (I missed the first half post-goal re-starts), they played the ball back. It was always my understanding that a kick off had to be forward but the kick off last night was a definite roll back - no-one seems to have mentioned this anywhere. Midway through the first half, I thought Hearts took a foul throw - it stood but then Celtic were done with one five minutes later But, the biggest one (and a big bugbear of mine) was the drop ball stuff. Commons shouldn't have played keepie uppie then deliberately hoofed it when a challenge appeared - it was pretty unsporting but then I've always maintained that these uncontested "drop balls" should be done away with. The Hearts fans were beeling (which was funny, admittedly) but so would any set of fans if that happened. But then, here's the rub. Ten minutes later, we kicked the ball out for an injured Jambo. It wasn't a drop ball but Hearts took the shy, Zaliukas looked up, Celtic team sat back waiting for the punt back to our keeper... ...but it never came - we gave Hearts possesion of the ball because one of there players went down when we were attacking and the filthy pricks kept it I've said for a while that drop balls and the gentlemanly expectations for kicking it out and the likes should be done away with. Imagine last night was a draw or there was one goal in it - Commons fannying about to bam them up could've went nuclear. Add to that, the incident with Hearts keeping the ball and it wouldn't have helped the minging atmosphere at these games. The thing about the latter incident is that neither commentator mentioned it and I've seen nothing mentioned of it anywhere (or the kick off for that matter). I know these are trivial things but, was I tripping? Was it only me that saw these things?
The ball has to move forward at kick off. In theory, you could just run up and toe poke it. As for the rest of your post, I never read it.
I'm sure that has been done before - last night is the first time I've ever seen it played backwards.
Queef, My God this man has a very tight schedule. he had only time to read the first two lines of Biggus Diccus post. Then the annoying part, he found time to blatantly contradict Biggus's first post. Queef is an twisted bas..rd. I seem to remember the same illegal kick off last season in a match between Celtic and Dundee Utd. with the same limited idiot as a referee. How is that buck a referee is it his hatred of Celtic or his not knowing the rules of the game.
So you're confirming that Hearts cheated? Another "honest mistake" from Collum in not penalising it too presumably? I AM ABSOLUTELY FECKING BEELING AT THIS.
Noticed the keeping of the ball, but I expected it. As for the throw in, is it the one that Victor got booked right after? If so, I think that throw in was legal but my brother thought it was a foul throw. I'm never wrong, FACT.
Nobody mentioning the sectarian singing from hearts fans last night. Video on this forum shows it loud and clear and shows individual fans. Wonder if the polis filmed it. If not then they have a source readily available. Wonder how many arrests will ensue?
Never noticed, but I did notice that several of the Hearts players seemed to have an inner ear infection, obviously this was making some of them dizzy as it appeared to me every time a Celtic player went near one, he fell over. A mystery virus.
Someone go and Google how many were arrested in that game so we can make some futile comparison. Oh I just remembered, Medro's banned.
Wullie Collum was found out to be a cheat in an old firm game and his hatred of Celtic was there for all to see .Any referee that gives a penalty for a dive he never saw is a cheat , he also cost us the league that season with Three match changing decision when we were away to Hamilton with a depleted squad .Any way it's our turn to play farmers , school teachers , painters and posties this week , imagine doing it every week !!!!!!
what about that penalty that samaras missed in the old firm game Never a foul in a million years!! We just got on with it though
