I love the Schneiderlin quote from the press conference - "I can't wait to play against Steven Gerrard - but he's going to feel bad because we're going to get 3 points!" - You can't fault the lads optimism can you!
Being in the PL means that more lucky women get to see our delicious Frenchman speak (and he talked about being in the shower, and he'll be with Fonte).
their sure to come out of the starting blocks fast. If we can weather the storm of the first 20 minutes or so then I reckon we've got a chance.
I notice that Rodgers has consistently being playing Enrique left midfield and downing at left back. Do the Liverpool fans think its working out? Any particular reason for it or is Rodgers just trying to be a bit too clever? Genuine question as I haven't seen much from your games but found it an interesting selection?
Nothing 'clever' about putting Enrique LW. he's been there the last few games and been really solid plus got some assists and a goal. Downing at LB is horrific, I don't expect him to be LB anymore. As for the game, I think we will score- for definate. We were unlucky not to score more against spurs, and they have a solid defence. So I think for you to win you will have to score quite a few (which isn't impossibe, we're always vulnerable on the counter). I think 3-1 to us.
Going to keep a real close eye on the refereeing in this one. Not just because what we've had to put up with lately in home games (Away games the refs seem to be decent) but because Brendon Rodgers is certainly trying his best to get some more decisions from the refs in his interviews
Actually I tried to provoke a reaction was hoping for more from the Liverpool fans to see what they thought of Schneiderlin and Cork haha. Lucas is a great player. But so is Schneiderlin to be fair. Schneiderlin is 1st for tackles completed per game in the whole league (all positions) and is 4th place for interceptions in the league (all positions). Last season Lucas was 1st for tackles completed per game and 11th for interceptions. Their passing completion is almost identical Scheniderlin this season 85.3% and last season Leiva 85.6% . It's actually a fair comparison as it's about the same amount of games played. I just threw Cork in for a laugh as we haven't lost without him. Cork's a good player but I certainly rate Schneiderlin higher. The other two I am going to favour Morgan as he plays for us so you'll have to deal with it
I do highly rate Morgan and there was no doubt that we missed Cork but Liverpool have sorely missed Lucas. When he first arrived in England Lucas was pretty **** but he has got used to the PL and is one of the best midfielders in the league.
You never know, for all we know, Cortese has hired an assasin to hit Suarez on his way out of training
Liverpool really are on a poor run. If there was ever a time to play them at Anfield this is it. We need to take our chance
