This is interesting. We have 7 players in the top 100 in the Championship. Aluko is 5th (better than Zaha and Ince), but Chester is 99th which is odd. Somehow Koren is just above Quinn too. It seems to favour big target men over any other type of player, and the way they calculate defender's scores seems odd. Chester was rated really low last year too and he had an amazing year and was voted by some as the best defender in the league. Clearly the stats that make these scores don't take into account the situation and difficulty of his tackles.

Most interesting though, Amos has been our 3rd best player according to this and has been the 2nd best 'keeper in the league after his U21 team-mate Jason Steele. I think it's really odd that he's dropped out of the squad completely, something must be going on there.

Looking elsewhere, our top 'assister' is Simpson with 6 to Elmo's 5 and Aluko and Quinn's 3 which I doubt anyone would have guessed. In terms of shooting, only Aluko, Koren and Simpson have had anything like a decent number of shots compared to other players in the division. Is this why we waste so many chances, if only 3 players are actually comfortable shooting?

We're still top of the fair play table for what it's worth, and Leeds are 2nd bottom of course. Becchio is the 'dirtiest' player in the league while our 'dirtiest' is Quinn (miles behind) with 17 fouls and no cards.

There's a decent section on attendances on there too.

Chester 99th? Well this is clearly wrong. He has to be top 10 at least!

True, but he was amazing last year and I remember being similarly surprised to see him so low. He's still our best defender on there mind.

Anyone know why Brighton have such a big average attendance? Didn't think it was such a hotbed for football. I know they have a new stadium. Are they doing cheap season passes or something?

Amos is out of the matchday squad because you're only allowed 4 on loan players in, so we have Elmo, Meyler, Stockdale and Brady in it, why would use a loan slot on the sub keeper when you don't have to?

5 loan players in the match day squad is the limit. So we're back to the original point.

    Huh :undecided:

It does seem a bit naiive to sign more loan players than we can actually use. Bruce wouldn't be that daft surely?

IMO, Chester should be in the top 7. He is by far the best defender in this league

5 domestic loans in a matchday squad is the limit, not 4, so even if meyler elmo stockale and Brady are in, Amos can still make the bench.

We're allowed five, we've got five, Bruce can pick anyone he likes for a match day squad.

    That's what I meant.

So the mystery remains, what has happened to Amos?

    Close.

There are 3 types of bribes, bribes, bigger bribes, and bribes big enough for us to accept.

It's 5, but of course we would sign more than we could play if they were to fill a gap.

Away from home we may want to name 2 defensive midfielders in the team and one on the bench with 2 attacking midfielders in the squad, and at home the other way round. We'd not have an issue with having an attacking midfielder and a defensive midfielder on loan if they were starting when we named 2 but left out when we named 1. Or if he felt Jakupovic wasn't up to it you'd bring in 2 loan keepers ahead of him for starts, and leave one of them out the match day squad. The majority of the time your sub keeper doesn't play, and when he does it's usually because you're down to 10 men. You could easily say if we're down to 10 men we'll just take what's coming to us by playing Jakupovic and then next game stick the other loanee into the team.

Is there a stat for the team with the most players who can only use their chosen foot.
Bet we would be top of the league in players who can only use one foot.
