    Tell the whole truth now.

One win, one loss, five draws in seven.

And the previous seven matches were just as bad <laugh> that's why you have 16 points from 14 games.

Is that "prediction" from the same crystal ball that told you Liverpool would be challenging for top four the last two seasons? If so I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Liverpool aren't suffering a blip, or having lots and lots of bad luck, you are where you deserve to be. Which is a lot closer to the relegation zone than us.

If you replicate the same returns the team will get 44 (43.58) points for 38 matches. If you replicate the last 3 matches (1 win, 1 draw, and one loss) 4 points for the rest of the season, it will have 48 points. Not good <ok>

And Utd had better pray Van Pussy doesn't get his usual long term injury, because without Robin van Persie's nine goals and four assists, Premier League leaders Manchester United would be languishing in 13th.<ok>.

First oppotunity I've had to comment on yesterday's match

If we played like we did in the 2nd half from the beginning we would have won that match, no question. We started off that way against Swansea too. Pretty frustrating

We just can't seem to win at the moment (both literally and in a "catch 22" sense) Either we start matches well and then fade, or we start matches lethargically and then turn up the revs when we're left with too much to do. The only match where we've been in complete control was against Norwich (and arguably against WBA in the capital one cup)

We are <ok> although this assumes that if RVP hadn't scored United would not have tried even harder during the rest of the match to score.

This is hardly comparable to your situation. I was just projecting your season's total should your current form continues. There is nothing in the horizon which suggests things will change significantly in the near future. In January you may acquire new players but that in itself carries its own risk. Could give a great boost or could lead to problems of integration of new players <ok>

Surely we'd be allowed to play someone in his place Paige?

Of course you would Nora, but without him you are midtable.

where are you without Suarez buddy? ;)

Fairly sure you'll get back to winning ways against Southampton at Anfield at the weekend, sadly.

You assume that RVP's team-mates haven't been trying hard in games the Dutchman scores in because they don't need to try and score.<laugh>

Its common knowledge we'd be ****ed this season without Suarez, it's also common knowledge that we will strengthen our attacking options in january.

And where on here do you find anyone saying "if we carry on as we are we'll be fine"? We all know we have to improve our results drastically, we don't need to be told by visitors with jibes thinly disguised as "observations" or "opinions".

It won't. We'll soon start getting the results deserve, especially after January when we've strengthened our lack of attacking options and brought in a goal-scorer.

We may have drew a lot of games and dropped a lot of points, but that doesn't tell the whole story. Besides Arsenal and WBA, we have played very well and didn't deserve to lose these games.

If we had better attackers to compliment Suarez and take some of the scoring burden off him, we'd be a lot higher up the league. Our points total doesn't reflect the level of our performances unfortunately, and even the most biased person who has actually seen a lot of our games can admit this.

We have a painfully threadbare squad, especially in attack, but I'm not too worried about the rest of the season and still think we'll do better than last season, because its not as if our performances are bad and were not creating lots of chances. We just need better attackers to take advantage of all the chances we create and then we'll turn those draws into wins and climb the table quickly.

I'd feel a lot worse if we were getting these results with a full size squad and playing poor most games, not creating chances like under Hodge or the second half of last season under Dalglish.

I don't mean to be unkind but most clubs could say the same. "If my aunt had a ...." phrase also comes to mind.

You could also take the opposite viewpoint. If you are playing well and you are where you are, then you'll be stuffed if your slight tweaks don't work. The way the team is set up, I cannot see how an addition of a striker or two will improve things significantly. Your midfield is average tbh. Gerrard has been a good servant but he cannot carry the whole team anymore. I am sure as a fan you will not agree with me but I can see you win one, lose one and draw one for the rest of the season.

We didn't have him last season and finished second on goal difference. Arguably the league is weaker this season. We've won games he hasn't scored in as we have other players capable of finding the net. The argument that we'd be midtable without him is something I'd expect from an angry kid.
