Hate that kind of behaviour by players and Barca/Madrid players are the worst. They hound the ref after an incident so that the ref books the players.

No sportsmanship by some players whatsoever.

I notice Gerrard took another trademark dive in the penalty area today.

Still kudos to him, I only watch Liverpool on MoTD highlights so that's the first time ive seen Gerrard since we played them. I thought he retired.

I didn't see the game so I can't comment. Their manager said they were lucky, not Rodgers.

The Reds boss: "We never got the rub of the green tonight. It was a little embarrassing to be honest.

"Two clear penalties. Steven Gerrard - that was bordering on assault, never mind a tackle. It was frightening how we never got the penalty for that. And if you watch, Luis Suarez gets kicked by William Gallas, also."

"I don't know what Gerrard and Suarez have to do to get a pen," said Rodgers.

"I thought it was bordering on assault on Gerrard."

Regardless of whether it was or wasn't a foul, didn't the ball break for Suarez who had an easy chance to stick it in the net, only to spanner it up yet again and let Spurs clear it off the line? Not sure how you can try and claim a penalty when you had such a clear advantage...maybe Rodgers should get them to watch a vid of Cole and Yorke for our third against Juve in 99...

I think you purposely write in pigeon English.

Obviously the refs aren't "bought" by United or go into games with the intention of favouring them. However, all the big clubs get far more than their fair share of decisions. Perhaps not so much the big ones that MOTD will analyse ad nauseum- though I think a bit of that goes on- but lots of minor ones which add up in the context of a match but don't come across unless you're at the game. Soft free kicks, corners given when the ref doesn't really have a clue if it should be or not, midfielders allowed to hack their way through half the opposition before getting a card (Scholes, Mikel, Parker).

As the biggest club, United will benefit the most. It doesn't mean there is a conspiracy or referees are bribed, but it's far easier to give a decision in the bigger team's favour and it will benefit the referee's career to err on the side of the bigger team.

sure that is the point .. big clubs get refs decisions especially at home . unfortunately fans of other big clubs don't think so.. they are just too thick to get that .. and this is the point of this thread to highlight those decisions and show them in their faces

hhh how is backfiring ? <laugh> .. since we started this thread, it is all the other clubs who are getting the decisions.. UTD get none and in fact been denied a clear goal
this thread is for those idiots who think UTD winning titles bcz they get refs help while their $hitty big clubs don't bcz they getting any .. which is a stupid argument
