Don't even know what to say to that. It's a work of genius.

It's good... but doesn't get near my top three. Too much Morgan Freeman makes me puke. It's not even my favourite film starting Tim Robbins, that award goes to Jacob's Ladder.

Got another job rejection after an interview, this time the reason given was because the company has some very strong personalities and not sure I could fit in with that and that other people would be able to fit in with strong personalities better, which is a ridiculous reason.

I clearly should have mentioned that I'm a member of an online football forum with some strong personalities, many of whom are supporters of my team's arch rivals, but we all get on swimmingly most of the time! <hug>

That's strange, what kind of job was it if you don't mind me asking?

Marketing associate at a financial investment company. I'd actually mentioned in the interview (they didn't ask anything directly about my inter-personal skills or whatever the term is) that I was still in regular contact with people from my old work and was planning on hopefully meeting up with one on the weekend (not this, next) so I wouldn't have expected fitting in to have been an issue....

Wouldn't angst too much about what they said and certainly don't bear it in mind when you go for your next interview. They basically preferred someone else...next time that person will be you. Sounded more like they thought you were too nice rather than not able to fit in...if the other staff are overbearing and not likely to help you, you are better off out of it. Good luck the next time.

Watched the F1 this weekend and at the time thought it was very peculiar indeed that Vettel went from last right through the field to sixth before he appeared on the TV screen again. That's a whole load of overtaking to simply not show, regardless of his position in the race, especially considering his position as championship leader. Was there something smelly going on?

I do love Shawshank, but it is undoubtedly the Radiohead of films. ie. default choice in a lot of people's best films lists, supported by the media too. Is nice to have a modern film that hits everyone's buttons so well, and is undoubtedly a great film. Got a really slow half-life, so is seriously rewatchable. It is, however, amongst many classics in the prison film genre, and there are better prison films - hardly any, but they do exist. It would probably scrape into my top ten.

Just watching Andrew Flintoff on Sky talking about his boxing. Lost a lot of weight, now looks pasty and thin. May be fitter, but seems to have lost his bounce. i would guess boxing is more serious, but cricket must be more fun. I know an ex-cricketer said recently that Freddy has few friends in the cricket world....not in an unpleasant way but just a fact.
