But he did come from a premier league club after a loan at spurs. And he was our number one target for two transfer windows, we even put all our eggs in his basket and waited patiently for weeks to make a decision. I'm fairly sure broffen would have done everything to bring him here including ridiculous wages. They gave mcshane, kilbane and Oli 28k I highly doubt they'd offer such a substantial transfer fee for their number one target of two years then offer him less than they offered a bunch of jobsworths. Didn't they offer Zamora 45k p/w after FC turned us down? (and that was in the back of BZ having a **** season)

We offered Zamora big money, but it wasn't off the back of a **** season, he hadn't scored many, but he'd looked every bit a class Premier League player and he ended up in the England squad the following season.
In fairness Zamora had looked a handy target man in his '**** season' when the "if your in row z and the ball hits yor head" song came about, but as you say he really found his feet the next season resulting in him playing for England. Would have been a terrific signing had it come off.
Think there are better cheaper options. things never turn out roght second time around. He has had injuries since last time he was with us and opposition wll be wise to him nows. Leave well alone in my opinion.
When we're talking about Fraizer Campbell do I really need to state the obvious? Who was his strike partner in our promotion season?
Also if someone can clarify is this just a rumour that won't go away or has someone at the club suggested we want Campbell?
I'd rather have Craig Davies/Steven Davies or Chris Wood. Spooky thing is they have all scored 8 league goals this season. All seem to play in a similar style.
