Over the past few days, there has been a lot of paper talk regarding the departure of Samir Nasri. It is said that Nasri has refused to sign a new contract because Arsenal are not willing to pay the wages Nasri is asking is for.

Nasri is apparently asking for 100k a week. IF that's true, he can do one straight to Inter. He hasn't done anything to deserve the same amount of wages as RVP or Fabregas. If he thinks getting a few goals will earn him 100k a week, then he's mistaken. I mean, even RVP is only on 80k a week, what makes Nasri think he deserves more money than RVP?

Imo, Nasri leaving wouldn't change much. He chipped in with a fair amount of goals in the first half of the season, but he's been useless since January. This club has let much bigger players leave without hesitation and if Nasri thinks he's bigger than the club, then he knows where the door is.

Anyway, now to a more positive rumour. Wenger is apparently lining up a bid for Shakhtar winger Willian as a replacement for Nasri. I've seen this rumour in a few papers and on a few sites, so there must be some truth in it. We're offering Denilson + cash according to the sources.

Imo, this would be a great signing. We haven't had this sort of player in ages. Willian is a tricky, skillful winger who is actually willing to take players on. He can play attacking midfield as well. He would cost a lot, but most of the money will be from Nasri's sale anyway, so it won't matter.

Do you guys think there's any truth in these rumours?

Thoughts?

Sounds like Arshavin. Id rather have Nasri over Willian anyday!

Arshavin isn't a winger. He's like Rocicky and Nasri. He's a CAM but he's being played out of position on the left of a forward three.

We don't have winger at Arsenal. We play 4-3-3, so our attacking midfielders play as inside forwards.

I'd also take Nasri over Willian, but he's being a greedy little pig asking for 100k a week. He's disrespecting the club and that can not be tolerated.

<wah>

Get a sense of humour you miserable prick.

Sense of humour? You think commenting about Hernandez in all of my articles is funny? Well in that case, I think you're a miserable ****.

You ****ing tell me to stop going on about how **** Hernandez is, then you ****ing start talking about him yourself. Then the mods say it's me going about him all the time.

****.

nasri was ****ing **** hot about 2 months ago, now he can **** off??? joker

Hernandez is the best young striker in the league

What do you expect when you write so many ****ing **** articles? Do you not expect people to give you stick for it?

Idiot.

Well, it's obviously not **** enough for you to ignore it. And I don't write a lot of articles you prick, look at my posting history.

Now **** off unless you're going to make a worthy contribution towards the article.

Prick.

Nuri Sahin has agreed to join Real Madrid.

We've missed out on a real gem here. For those of you who've been watching Bundesliga this season, I'm sure you know why Dortmund have been crowned champions. Yep, you guessed it. Nuri Sahin has been at the heart of their midfield making things happen. He's also been named player of the season in Germany.

It is said that Real Madrid have agreed to pay around 8M for Sahin. His contract runs out at the end of next season, that's why the transfer figure is so low. This could turn out to be bargain of the decade because that's well under his actual value.

We've also been linked with him over the past few months, along with Chelsea and Man City and Man Utd. I'm surprised Wenger hasn't made a move because he's an Arsenal type player. His passing, vision, first touch, control etc, is second to none.

Although he's been playing the Wilshere role this season, I think his best position is a more advanced role. Imo he would've been the perfect replacement for Cesc.

I, like many others, would love to see Sahin at the club.
Although we cannot compete on wages with Real Madrid, whose spending on wages are over 100% of ours.

Even if we did make an offer for him, he would have still gone to Real Madrid, though.
Loyalty in football? Perish the thought!

Even though he has done exceptionally well in the Wilshere role, dictating play from a deeper position, where would he fit into our system?

He wouldn't replace Wilshere in the squad because I feel Wilshere is the more talented player of the two; Sahin wouldn't get ahead of Nasri or Fábregas either and we need Song in midfield; I don't think he's got as much aptitude as Ramsey, either.

So, as much as I'd love to see him at Arsenal, I don't think he'd fit in, unfortunately.

And I'm having difficulty trying to find out where he's going to fit in the Madrid squad, too.

Samir, I think you underestimate Sahin's ability and talent.

His passing ability and vision is better than Wilshere's imo. Wilshere is a better dribbler and more direct. Wilshere is also younger. I agree though, I don't think he'd replace Wilshere in the starting line up.

He wouldn't replace Song because he's not an out and out DM. Nasri plays on the left of a forward three, so obviously wouldn't replace Nasri either. Although I really like Ramsey, I think Sahin would get in the squad ahead of him. I just think Sahin is a better overall player. But I think if Fabregas was to leave, he'd be perfect.

Overall I agree, I don't think he'd make our starting line up, unless Fabregass was to leave.

I think he will DEFINITELY start for Real Madrid though. He'll replace Khedira easily.

Those were when I first joined this forum. I haven't made a WUM article on this forum for ages and I don't intend to. The other ones are on a different football forum, they have nothing to do with this.

Now, please either discuss the subject in the article or **** off.

Kamaran, 90% of the stuff you write on here and on 606 is **** aimed at annoying Man Utd fans. Just look at your profile and signature for ****s sake.

Don't write all this crap if you're going to cry when someone gives you stick for it.

I don't do anything to wind Man Utd fans up you utter twat. Other than the first few days, I haven't made any articles to wind up Man Utd fans, on this forum.

And what about my signature you complete prick?

Kamran, Sahin is clearly a very good player, who, on form, is a nightmare to deal with, but he's been nurtured at Dortmund for years and will be surrounded with much better players at Real Madrid. Dortmund also have a very good starting 11, but they are no Real Madrid and a lot of the teams in Germany play with a slower velocity, so Dortmund's attack would instil fear into the opposition, with the way their direct, pacy attacking style. Madrid play with a much faster pace, however, and bring the fullbacks and wingers into the game more, who cut inside, and I've noticed that the CM's generally don't go forward into the attacking third, and they allow the wider players to attack from wider positions because that's where the key threats are i.e. Ronaldo, Di Maria, Ozil.

Sahin may suit this style of play, as he'd be able to distribute the ball more and his astuteness will tear certain defence's apart although he may not score as many goals, but Khedira has a more physical presence on the ball, that can bully the opposition. Sahin doesn't have the same physical strength and that's why I'm in two minds about whether he'll replace Khedira in the squad or not.

If he does replace Khedira, then he'd be an ideal signing for us, imo. We should try to get him, if that is the case, because there's no way he'll enjoy being delegated to the bench.

Completely agree. <applause>

Kam, mate.....
Every time you respond they will respond and every thread you make or participate in will end up as trash or locked. Be the bigger person and swallow your pride and don't respond to them. We on the Arsenal board will respect you far more for not doing so.

I go on the general chat to make a dick of myself. The board should be for decent footy chat, with decent footy posters.

I guess you're right. His aim is to ruin my article. I'll ignore the twat <ok>

The article he wrote here is an excellent one and has nothing to do with Utd or their fans. We all write bollocks in the chatbox and if he writes bollocks call him out, but when he writes a good, well thought out article, please respect it as we would respect one from you. <ok>

Just ignore him mate. He's only embarrassing himself.

How do you know that Sahin is going to madrid Kam? They already have Gago, Granero, Diarra, Alonso, Khedira and (on some occasions) Pepe in his position so why would they buy him? Besides he would be in direct competition with Alonso if he went there and Alonso is seen as a key player in their team so its not like he would play regularly.

On the subject of William although I think he is very talented if we were signing another wing-forward type player i'd want it to be Hazard. Besides Brazilian flair players tend not to do well in England.

The Turkish media are also claiming the deal has been agreed and Nuri Sahin is discussing personal terms with Madrid. And Dortmund have already signed another Turkish player (Ilkay Gundogan) as his replacement :D. He's also very talented.

Goal and the Daily Mail are not the most accurate with their predictions <laugh>. Not that I don't rate Sahin but I don't think we need him as Ramsey and Wilshire play the same role as him for us.

Oh and Kamran can't really complain about people always winding him up about Hernandez but can you give it a rest Berb? There are enough pointless argument on the internet without you adding to it.
