1M isnt enough! they have already publicly said we'll need a hefty sum for them to allow him to leave!

    No more than 800k.
He is a good player agreed. But we simply don't throw around £1M+ on players Someone else will take that gamble but we cannot afford to.
He's probably worth, at his curent ability £750k. His "talent" and possible sell on value make him worth more. But West Brom have no right to demand for that as he's leaving for nothing next year. Also he can't be on 12k as that would upset the team. We wouldn't give Moro 12k so why should this kid be on it? <ok>

That will get the ball rolling though as no doubt it won't all be a straight cash deal <ok>

Leicester paid 1 million for a non league striker.

Chris Wood is a premiership international who thanks to Millwall is proven at this level so you will likely get gazumped and will probs go for nearer £2 million

Unfortunately, depending how you look at it, he's scoring goals and injury free - gold dust for any club. That makes him top dollar price. He's not our only goal scorer though so if we don't get him it'll be a blow but not the end of our season.

My prediction is that he'll go for between 1 and 1.4 million. Anything cheaper is a bonus.

We wont have to pay the full amount up front - prob 500,000 down and the balance over the next 2/3 years - if his goals get us to the prem then this will be no prob - if we stay in the play-off places then hopefully gates will increase = more money coming in making it easier to make the payments - if we do a Leeds and freefall after xmas then we could be in trouble with no new signings in the summer and will possibly have to sell some players to make payments especially with the new financial rules coming in - so its pays yer money (or not) and take yer choice.
