    Was an entertaining match <ok>

Both teams had very good spells - difference was that Spurs made their pressure count.

Overpriced British trash........Dont want Ince. He left us, dont want to buy him back at a loss.

Fed up Of Crap British players.... You can get 6 Michus for a Downing if you are shrewd.

We need a player upfront who is ging to improve us not just add to depth.

We have played the top 7 of last season, though. I'm not saying that's an excuse, I just mean we haven't been able to build up some momentum. With that said, before today we were unbeaten in 8. I don't think today is a huge loss, **** happens. But if we're going to do anything at all this season this run of fixtures coming up has to bring us a good amount of points.

And we're going to win every single one of them.. <whistle>

What I don't understand is that we have such a lack of numbers in the box but we usually look vulnerable on the counter? How does that work?

  6. Considering the fixtures we have played and the number of goalscorers we have, I think we have done alright. However, I am not convinced it we be any different against the so-called 'lesser' sides. Putting it simple, we can't break teams down and the 'lesser' sides will defend in numbers. We are better off playing more open teams like the spuds but our defense can't cope without a Lucas type player <ok>

  7. Our midfielders dive in in an attempt to get the ball back within seven seconds <doh>

Opta stats saying we had 65% possession.

    We won the passing!

We need to learn how to ****ing score. And Rodgers seems to be evolving into managers of the past by playing Henderson and Downing ahead of Suso and Shelvey...FFS, at least we didnt get dicked!

  9. I'm all for maintaining possession and passing the ball about but if we are going to make twenty passes (ball point figure for the sake of argument) I don't want to see seventeen or eighteen of them amongst the back four before giving it away as soon as the ball moves forward!

Henderson was poor but he played well in the last game and didn't deserve to be taken off so I can tolerate him starting. Downing should not have started, he was poor in the last game and has been poor all season, he is in no way shape or form and bloody defender!

Fairly predictable that, to be fair. Lots of possession, no finishing -- we can't expect Suarez to get them all! We move on. F*ck it. BR definitely needs some finishers in the squad, he also needs to drop some players for a game or two. Hopefully, we can turn this around quickly in the next few games. <ok>

I think Suso should definitely be starting behind Suarez. There were times when we really lacked composure on the ball and Suso instantly gives us that bit of class.

We're lacking game intelligence - over the past few years, we seem to make the wrong choices or delay it until its too late.

That's one thing I miss about Maxi and Bellamy - they knew when to make the ball and they placed it perfectly.

  12. He needs to drop Gerrard, if for no other reason but to make a bloody statement!

Stuck at work, didn't see the game except the last few minutes. I gather we were lucky to win. It remains true that we're better at putting the ball in the nets, though I hope we'll be more selective next time.

Apparently another part game effort for us, which we've been having all year. On the other hand, all the results went our way, and our squad looks healthier than it's been in a while.

Liverpool's lack of cutting edge has been the story for a while now. Lucas should help a lot. Sandro may be our player of the year so far, and has created a few goals, including a beautiful one last week.

  14. This really irritates me! We do not play enough one or two touch football. Our wide players (wingers or fullbacks) want to take six, seven, eight touches before passes or looking to beat a man / cross/ Just link up with your teammates!!!!

  15. I wouldn't say you were lucky to win. You came out the blocks and stunned us in the opening fifteen minutes. The reminder of the first half was fairly even IMO. We were better in the second half but, as per usual, we can't hit a barn door. Even the goal we got was an OG <doh>

Yep - the only real partnership/link up I see is between Suarez and Enrique. Still don't think Sterling and Suarez have much of an understanding.

  18. Another thing that annoys me is the midfield. We had a trio of Gerrard, Hendo and Allen today, why was Hendo in front of the two? Surely it should have been Gerrard...?????

  19. We could do with dropping Allen too but we starting to look short in the middle!

No idea. Gerrard would be far better suited to that position but who knows. And Henderson would be better suited as the enforcer (with his stamina).

Either way - I'm not sure about the tactics and a midfield trio. We look so vulnerable on the counters and I'm concerned that this won't change even when Lucas comes back as there is so much space in the midfield and teams can pass easily in between the lines.
