Full radio for Seb when he crossed the line if anybody interested, a bit broken up on Sebs side though:
Reminds me of angry german kid haha. He gets mad when he wins or loses. The best was in Abu Dhabi with Vergne... "vot iz he doooing he iz stupping all da taim".
We've both made our points Silver, there's not much point continuing this discussion unless Ferrari do make a formal protest. We'll see what happens in the next few days, though even if Ferrari do protest and the FIA find Vettel guilty, would they really strip Vettel of the title?
no because it was on lap nine so they cannot give a time penalty because it happened too early in the race. They can only give a grid penalty for the next race, if anything at all.
Read this Forza you will see what I am on about, take time to read it as it will explain it all: http://argent.fia.com/web/fia-public.nsf/E8E85FF013BD3333C1257AA20026386C/$FILE/12.10.23_ANNEXE%20H.pdf http://www.fia.com/sport/Regulations/f1regs.html The dashboard is not part of the rules, only the Flags and Light panels scattered around the track are required by the drivers to focus on, not the dashboard as the Stewards cannot control the dash in the car unlike the marshals and Light panels who are in constant communication to Charlie/Stewards at all times. After Seb drives past the wrecked Williams of Pastor (the result of the yellow flag) post 5 gives him the green flag (as standard in marshal conduct to give a green flag after an incident) and he then overtakes Vergne. Seb wont lose the title to Alonso if Ferrari are stupid enough to protest a legal overtake, because like I said the Spanish and Italian papers are not telling the whole story and are only doing it for the ratings and $$$. You can clearly see a green flag being waved, it isn't a yellow flag as there was a picture on board with Alonso in that area earlier and you could clearly see a yellow flag a mile off where as the Green flag is slightly harder to spot, but you can see it being waved if you slow the video down, it's there and Seb spotted it.
No, it's not clear at all - and that's the problem. Anyway some more news on a potential protest, courtesy of Andrew Benson: The full article is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/20531638
I'm reminded of the Hamilton/Vettel/Webber incident at Fuji in 2007, which turned out to be a load of hot air.
If they changed the WDC now then they will severely damage the sport. They had the information during the race and saw nothing in it. Its just the press kicking up stories to fill the void now that the season is over. Don't fall into the hype!
Yes it is clear, the hazard was the Williams which crashed around turn 3, post 5 is after turn 3, post 5 would give green flag as it is after the crash, that's how the flag system works as it says it in the rules, (Green flags will ALWAYS be shown AFTER the incident at the next marshal post) most of your Ferrari friends even accept there is a flag being waved, some even agree it's green and none say it's a yellow as you would see it, you are just refusing to accept it because it means you finally lose the title OFFICIALLY and your lot just want to make out Alonso was the real winner by default because "somehow Seb cheated". Hay whatever makes you feel better I don't care anymore as I know what I'm on about, these two-bit journalists from AlonsoLand don't have clue what they're on about and are actually proving my point that they know nothing about F1 what so ever. Logic suggests it's a green flag "if you cant see it", I was a flag marshal (being trained for this kind of task for F1) you always give a green flag after a hazard which was the Williams in turn 3 and it was already cleared by both Seb and the Toro Rosso, you don't have yellow flags going all the way up that straight with something that happend 400 meters behind you... it really is Forza, that simple! The flags and Light panels next to the marshal posts are what the drivers have to abide by, not the dashboard in the car as the Stewards ((cannot control them!)) unlike the flags and Light Panels around the track. Also all these marshal posts are instructed by a chief marshal who are also under constant orders by Charlie and Co. If **** goes down he talks to the marshal directly, if Seb did overtake within yellows this would of been investigated already and sorted. He would of radioed the chief marshal on post 5 and said something like this: Charlie: Did you give green flag in Sector MS4 to allow overtaking just now?. M: Yes, sector was clear after Williams crash, green flag was given. Charlie: Thank you, overtake was done within official green flags, over. I'm now banning myself from this subject (Until Nov 30th) (Waits for the cheers) as it's clearly obvious you are refusing to accept the truth or any hard evidence that supports my side (very well in fact) and you only care that there is some (fantasy hope) that your dear Alonso will get his just desserts for being robbed by the cheating Seb because his dash is still yellow... All I am doing now is repeating myself over....and over......and over again no matter what I say to you Forza. I'm sad this season had to end like this Forza but it's the truth, this claim of yellow dashboard is ****, the Spanish/Italian media running with it is ****, the Alonso/Ferrari fanboys raging about it is ****, simple as... I'm not telling you as a Seb fanboy, I'm telling you as a damn flag marshal myself! This story.......is bollocks and Ferrari/Alonso have nothing to stand on FACT! I'll speak to you on Nov 30th Forza when this stupid thing blows over, as I'm 100% confident I will end up correct! Bye Bye earthlings!
Silver Arrow is stopping posting about the subject.... YABBADABBA DOO! That's what I'm talking about! Come on boys! (Finger!!!)
