Newcastle 1995-1997 Home Shirt

Hi lads,

I've just listed my vintage Toon 95-97 shirt on ebay. I'm struggling a bit at the minute after moving in to my first flat and work's not really paying enough so I'm having to try and get a bit of extra cash while I interview for other stuff. I just wanted to let you all know in case it's something you'd be interested in, sorry, I know it's not a forum for selling your stuff.

It's a size medium and it's in great condition. Feel free to ask any questions on here or on the ebay listing.

I thought people would be tempted, I wish I wasn't selling it! Thought it was fairest to put it on ebay though rahter than take an offer from the first person to contact me on here.

One of the best shirts for me - love the BroonAle with blue star. NorthernRock
doesn't hack it the same way does it!?

My favourite too, loved the away on with blue and marroon hoops from the same seasons too. And the royal blue one with the collar that came a little bit later. Nothern Rock is still a bit relevant I suppose but no doesn't have the same ring. Still, better than Greggs...

 

I've got that one but its like a medium kids size.

Unfortuantly a medium mens size wont look much different on me to my own one.

You'd think so wouldn't you? A mate of mine (Hartlepool fan) once won the end of season Soccer AM phone-in and won the big box of shirts that had been on the wall that year, including the away one from the same season (maroon and blue hoops). At the time I thought he'd got the home shirt which I already had so never chased him for it. Last year he decided he'd flog them all off, and revealed it was actually the away one he had (my home one by this point far too small, large boys doesn't quite work on a 6'2 28 year old!). I offered him a tenner for it, but he'd already put it on ebay, so he told me to just bid on there. Searched it out, couldn't find it, so had to find it via his ebay ID which I already knew. Brilliantly he had typo'd it as Newvastle away shirt, no one could find it, and I got it for a fiver. I did offer to give him the extra fiver to cover carriage (i.e. him walking the 200 yards to my house) but he turned it down.

The moral: Type properly!

 

You panicked me there! I had to go back and check I hadn't inadvertently advertised for the Newcastle Dyslexic Society team, Newcastle Untied...

 

Just in case anyone didn't see my article and get a chance to check out the shirt, hope you don't mind me giving it a little bump...

Haha thanks, clearly undeserved. I imagine the five stars are more in admiration of the shirt than the quality and depth of the article. Still it will be laid to rest soon, auction ends this evening, just in time to get home from the match, in a good mood hopefully, and put a cheeky bid in....
