Rooney hasn't been playing well but, apart from Anderson on his occasional appearances, he is the only player that injects energy into our attacks. That was very sorely missing against Norwich. Without him there is too much short passing in the middle and fannying about on the wings. If I see Ashley Young do another unnecessary dragback I'll cut his balls off and make him choke on them.

I think we might see Nani again this evening. Our wingers aren't in great form, and if West Ham play defensively we might need a bit of his X factor to break them down, although I'm not a big fan of his. His inconsistency drives me up the wall, but he performs well in these kinds of games usually.
