Grrr. I was 3-1 up against Man City with 20 minutes to go and drew 3-3. I bollocked them after the match and they react badly. Well **** off then.
Haha. I wish you could bollock players at half time. All you can do is say "We must get a win here, no excuses!" or "I want to see more from you?" I'd rather have an option for something like "What the ****ing hell was that? You're getting out-played by a bunch of part time farmers from ****ing Andover. What the **** is wrong with you? Conference South, you're having a ****ing laugh" *throws a boot at one of the players*
An epic injury crisis is now kicking in. Schneiderlin out for 2 months, Daley Blind 4 months, Cathcart 3 months, Mayuka's recovering from a broken leg suffered at the end of last season....looks like the kids will be getting a run out at the start of the season.
Oh **** it I've accidentally put Jonjo Shelvey in goal against Man City! Luckily I noticed very early in the game!
I've been so ridiculously beset by injuries in my first season. Rodriguez, missed a month. Wellington Nem, four months. Lallana, two months. Gaston, two months and Tadanari, three months, by the time they return. Plus a good many shorter injuries along the way. 18th in early January on goal differential, winless in eleven, though just pulled out a 1-1 away draw against City where I had to start Callum Chambers and Ryan Dickson (!) was robbed of a late winner.
Very next game, Lallana and Schneiderlin go down. Now have seven first team regulars injured, all out for extended periods of time, three on international duty, and one suspended. This'll be the first time that I've ever restarted a career that was more than a couple game in, but I don't think that I can bear to watch another game where I have to start Yoshida at DM, Chambers at RM, Reeves at CM, and Dickson at LW.
There seems to be a lot more injuries after the 13.1.3 patch for sure. In other news, I won Euro 2016 with England, Jay Rodriguez scored the 112th minute winner in a 1-0 victory over Ireland.
I mentioned before about adding a manager to manage a premiership team and then buying a player from my conference south team for £20 million to give me lots of money, but that is, I guess cheating. However, I've thought of starting a new game as a premiership manager and then buying a player for £20 million from each of five different Conference South teams and five different Conference North teams, then watch to see how it enfolds! Doesn't that sound fun?
In FM11 (I believe), I had so much money kicking about that I bought an Eastleigh player for £50m to see how far it'd take them. Apparently, not far at all; seem to remember that they lurched their way to League 2 for a time before drifting back into non-league.
I can't imagine that the CPU would handle it particularly well. Obviously they'd be able to improve the team a bit, but couldn't attract particularly good players anyway because of their reputation. The smart thing to do would be to invest all the money in the facilities, but I'm not sure if the CPU would see that. They might just sit on the money and never spend it.
You don't need to do that, just use the editor and give them lots of money or give them a sugar daddy
27 hours later..... First season complete. Finished 7th with 57 points and a GD of +1 thanks to beating Everton 5-2 in a dead rubber season finale at St Mary's. Rodriguez got better as the season went on I have to admit (35 games - 16 goals, 6 assists, 7.12 avg. rating), but was still a bit off of what I was expecting from this thread. Now what to do with the £26m that's burning a hole in my pocket with expectations of European qualification??? Doesn't seem like anybody comes for cheap these days!!! Missed out on Santon and Kelly at fullback, and seems unless you get notifications of another club making a bid then buying anybody at a reasonable price is pretty dang impossible. To be updated..... Lat
Fonte and Schneiderlin called up to their national teams now. Cork has 2 caps now too, still none for JRod. Also, PLAYER. please log in to view this image
Just beat Brighton 7-1, and their keeper's rating was 1.8. Anyone ever seen a player perform that bad?
