Had City gone in for RVP we all know where he'd have ended up.

You could only dream of players like Silva, Yaya Toure, Hazard, Oscar, Mata, Aguero etc even contemplating joining United.

Tevez could see you going down like the Titanic once Ronaldo left and joined a better club where he could win trophies. The move is of course fully vindicated having won a PL Title and FA Cup, whilst overseeing a 6-1 humiliation on your own patch and then in the return fixture you were like little lambs amongst a pack of Wolves and couldn't even test Joe Hart such was City's overall superiority <ok>

    The Future is Blue <ok>

City did go in for RVP. Wenger confirmed that RVP turned them down. Fact as some like to say.

The rest of your post just seems like you're trying to convince yourself of something. You did buy some of those players and we still beat you in your own backyard with our Hackney Marshes players. Ours looked more up for it, perhaps the Chelsea players feel secure with their long contracts, its not like they grew up dreaming of playing at Stamford Bridge! It didn't compute so much that Chelsea defaulted to trying to ruin the referee's career. That's what you're best at!

In fact re-reading it you sound like a City fan. Jumping onto another bandwagon already?!

Near enough 80% of the entire football population in Spain claim allegiance to either Real Madrid or Barca with about 9% supporting Valencia.

Saying Valencia is one of Spains biggest clubs is as good as saying Hearts/Aberdeen are one of Scotlands biggest clubs.

Do you actually know what a WUM is?

How can I be Wumming on my OWN board? <laugh>

All time La Liga ranking - 3rd.

That would make them Spains 3rd biggest and 3rd best supported club.

I find the 80% figure hard to believe as well unless you consider their allegiance to be minor.

come on, I'm no fan of rafa by any means and he's nowhere near as good as the scousers shout about but winning the title with valencia was a hell of an achievement.

Not really as good as it seems.

Very very low points tally, scored just 51 goals. Deportivo La Caruna one of Spains best sides at the time ( are they still La Liga, heard they were in trouble a while back ).

Of course its a great achievement, winning any league with any club is pretty damn good.

Thing is DL compared it to Sunderland winning the PL when the reality is its similar to Arsenal winning the PL.

At a distance yes, but look at the league table from those seasons.

The first league title won by Valencia under Coco, the team in 2nd (Deporitvo) over a 38 game league season won 20, drew 8 and lost 10!!

Barca were runners up the next time, and still drew 9 and lost 8.

And Valencia didn't exactly run away with the league despite their rivals piss poor performance.

    Changing the goalposts now.

In football terms they are the spanish Version of Arsenal. Won some stuff some time ago but have won nothing since. Infact they are exactly that, La Arsenal.
