Whatever the truth somehow he managed to obtain credibility with financial institutions in order to get hold of the club and it got us through the period to where we are now. It's easy to say 'i heard this that and the other' but with no proof, i guess whatever i said would have to have been seen to be believed, and believe me, the stories i heard were very bad...and that's why i'm not surprised by any of this, i just don't get what motivates someone to ruin a club that is supported by so many. I guess you're right with 'money' M Frenchie, but...that's a motivation i will never understand, not to this degree. It's understandable Kev, without any alternative information, who wouldn't want to believe what he was telling us. I would like to think i would have done the same, and will do again...always having faith in whoever runs the club, blindly at times...though this time, i think it won't be a vain faith!
Did we ever get to find out what was in the locked safe? Could it have been the deeds to the Red Lion or paperwork relating to something else?
