Would you supplement our squad with short term loans for these yankee doodle dandees (ignore realism about wages, them wanting to come etc):

    Robbie Keane
    Sir David Beckham
    Thierry Henry
    Tim Cahill
    Landon Donavon
    Alessandro Nesta

Feel free to add your own

Cahill is the only one I could imagine being any use to us. Can Beckham still put a decent ball in? We're desperate for that. He's always good to have around apparently. Doubt Terry Henry could do owt for us

Beckham still looked class the last time I watched him. To be honest I think he could play any level till he is 40. Never required pace like Sheringham. Henry down the left to take the weight off Benni? Those two are the most unrealistic. Really the only serious ones were Keane, Cahill or Donavon. Surely Everton won't be greedy and take both? Keane or Cahill may be better partners for Ba/Cisse are for each other. The only way they work is for Ba to be sacrificed left for good of the team.

Cahill and Donavon would be worth a punt.

If wages weren't an issue I'd take them all for January/cup games... And to generally make the numbers up!

I would absolutely buy the shirt with Henry on if this farcical theoretical proposition ever came about <ok>

Landon is good, Cahill probably would be ok, and Williamson obviously ****s all over Nesta

I thought he was playing in Australia, did he not sign for Blackburn at some point,,,,,,,,,,who knows?
He's done quite a lot of tv commentary quite recently, nowhere near as good as Neville though.
