After reading this on BBC, http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20469693 , it made me thing of our strikers.

For me, at Watford the best striking pair have been King and Henderson, they worked very well together and got us promoted under Hoofroid.

Any others that you think are worthy of the 'deadly duo' tag...

Now we have the four 'Yorkshire rippers' <cracker>

For you old ones out there, Holton & Uphill in 1959-60: 84 goals between them (Holton 48 and Uphill 36)

Next highest scorer was Benning with 7!

I was a wee nipper when I did. With an immature understanding of the game. Was still a beautiful thing though.

I wanted to name a kid after one of them (Ms Saxet, being American, wasn't too keen on Luther for some reason). But nature moved the goalposts and decided to bestow me with girls. Rossina has a fine turn of speed mind you.

Doubt that they will ever be matched. IIRC, the next best after Blissett/Jenkins would be Charlie Livesey & Ken Oliver, who scored 45 between them.

Batman and Robin were pretty deadly - not sure they played for our First Team though

Aaaahhhhh! I think you are referring to Trevor Senior & Malcolm Allen in 1987-88. I remember them well. Trev scored his only League goal for Watford away at Hillsborough (hopefully not a portent for Geijo).
