Can't live with the winter, moved to Chile and was tryting to make it home but the Mrs got me to stay here really. It ain't the best place in the world, lots of corruption and people work hard here (unlike me sometimes) but seems to be working so far, been here on and off since 2009.

Did you not know that at 5pm the whole country stops and we 'all' sit down to have tea with the queen?

I met a Mexícan once. He told me Mexíkó is the second most corrupt nation as they paid not to be first.

I am surprised she has a table that size or do you meet in Windsor Castles garden, that is very big.

AK - the table is there only to hold the cucumber sandwiches - nobody sits, they all stand around waffling and trying to avoid Prince Phillip.

Kipling summed up the Englsih and tea:

We had a kettle; we let it leak:
Our not repairing made it worse.
We haven't had any tea for a week...
The bottom is out of the Universe.

H's star pupil has a fantastic turn of speed and almost gets one back, just foiled by the keeper.

It was great to listen to Jon marks tonight with Matt Bevans and Tommy Hoban talking about the game that Leeds won 0-4.

To hear these two youngsters talking about how the experience of losing will do the players good gave quite an insight into the way that they are learning about being footballers. Quite a confident double act they make.

evening all, and thank you for all your good thoughts. it's going to be a tough few weeks, i'm glad i have you all here to take my mind off things..thank you :)

As for my boy Bernard....omg! What a great run! i had two guys sitting behind me who obviously knew a lot about the youth team, and were waxing lyrical about Master Mensah, i was smiling like the proverbial mother hen! They did say that when he has the ball you can see he's a cut above the rest, and with one or two exceptions, i think that's true. Tomorrow, when i have the team sheet in front of me, i'll let you know who i thought was a cut above, and who, in my opinion, should be cut loose :)

Cut above and cut loose. That is an interesting question H. Many good prosects have disppeared for some reason. I wonder what the cause is?

I have been trolling the recent archives and thinking about stuff I have read on here. I haven't posted much lately but I have been reading what you all have to say.
On the topic of legends and legendary players to me the definition of a legend is a myth that may have some root in reality. That means that I can only think of one Watford legend and that is Sietes. I was never sure if he actually existed but according to a well known on-line encyclopedia he only retired at the end of last season.
