These past few days our 'favourite' team have done us a big favour, keeping CP and Leicester within touching distance whilst still remaining six points behind us with inferior GD...cheers for that Weeds. Pity we couldn't help ourselves to the six points that were beckoning, didn't turn up on Saturday and got what we deserved...Zilch. Played great last night but spurned at least four great chances to bury Palace.
Glad Leeds got the 6 points because it benefitted us! Next 3 games are massive for us and we need to get back to helping ourselves so we don't have to rely on other teams doing us favours.
We didn't remain 6 points behind you. I think you'll find we were 11 behind before Saturday. Thats called closing the gap where I come from. Its also only a favour if you actually pounce on it, which you didn't. Happy days.....
I wanted Leeds to get 6 points, it is much better for this club that they won them, rather than losing them. If them (or indeed any team) winning has a positive part to play on our promotion chances, then for all intensive purposes, I am happy for them to get the result. We just have to rely on our team to get the result...
yet again we have missed an opportunity. 5 more home points chucked away but then everyone is chucking points away and many more will be chucked away this season. Its called the championship folks. Who would not have accepted where we are now back in July ? Its a long way to go and still 81 points to play for.
Knew they'd beat Leicester, just had that gut instinct when we talked about this last week, beating Palace suprised me (and judging purely from the highlights they looked somewhat fortunate to) but fair play, glad they took the 6 points from the 2 games specially considering we didn't take much ourselves. We could have been quite some way off had they lost them both.
I actually don't ever think I'd have ever been able to bring myself to say anything supportive to TWS but I have to give it to them, they've stopped us from having a lot to do. Their takeover honeymoon period should be over soon and they'll be back to normal hopefully!
People need to stop saying that, it's such a small club attitude. We are one of the best teams in the league so we should be challenging seriously for promotion now. If we can't take our chances and beat the top sides now when can we? The remaining 27 games are going to be the same as the first 19, we'll still need to get a run going, beat the other top sides and finish our chances in games like last night. We did all this crap last season, assuming it would all come together later on and saying things like "Someone's due a beating soon." etc. and it never happened. Really we should be looking at why we aren't as high as we should be and addressing it so that this time we don't let the chance slip away and we do get promoted. I'm sure that's what Bruce is trying to do.
And if you look at the Richard Garcia thread WHT you might even have named him in your first reply !!! (Only joking, I hope).
Yeah we have fallen all the way from league one to the championship whereas you have fallen from the bottom of the prem
Bruce confirmed this in the post-match interview, if there's a decent striker availible he'll knock on the Allams door..
Not really? You went from Top 3 Premier League to League 1 and then back up to Championship, whereas we've gone from League 2 to the Premier League and back down to the Championship...
Neither will you if you don't start finding the goal soon! You still have to better other team's results around you if you are to overtake them. At least I think that's how it works....
