Paulo Gazzaniga Paulo Gazzaniga is aiming to become the first Saints keeper to keep back-to-back Premier League clean sheets since October 2003 as the club bid to notch a hat-trick of consecutive top fight victories. The last time Saints managed three Premier League wins on the spin was September 2003, as they defeated Manchester United, Wolves and Tottenham â the game that finished Glenn Hoddleâs time at White Hart Lane. Would be great if we can do this!
What's Chris Hughton done to you to make you want to end his time there? In all seriousness, It would be great if we won tonight, but Noriwch are on a good run, full of confidence and it will be a tough game
afternoon. i've seen on another message board garrido has tweeted Ruddy is out tonight, no surprise there. Can't guarantee it, but it looks likely. loved that article in the independent as well, especially the receipt bit
I'm not at all worried by the fact Ruddy might be out. Bunn has shown in his short time with us that he is an able deputy. Now is his chance to stake a claim for starting every week. When we signed him from Blackburn their fans were gutted and most of them thought he was a better keeper than Paul Robinson and he's had 3 or 4 months training with our goalkeeping coach (England's current goalkeeping coach).
All depends what Fonte turns up, could be the hair pulling **** one like against West Ham or the passionate up for it one like Fulham. Yoshida is okish but needs a good Fonte next to him to help him out.
Interesting. Sounds like most CBs, one needs to be a leader of the other. We've got bassong now and he has been immense leading both turner and bennett. Probably have a shocker tonight now! i was thinking, tonights fixture must be unique in that both teams have gone from League 1, back to back promos - surely that hasn't happened before in the Prem (them facing each other)
I think the Norwich CBs will struggle with the speed of our passing around the box, looking forward to a few dangerous freekicks and one penalty.
Guessing that it's definitely the shortest turnaround time from meeting in League One to the PL, at slightly under 33 months.
Yep, the only other team to go straight from League 1 (Div 2) to Premier League since it was formed is Man City in about 2000 I think.
Ah well, if its a bit of insider info the Norwich fans want to pass on to Chris then its important that they know to target our left back as he's only 17 and hasn't got a clue, let Ramirez run as he will only end up in a dead end, don't need to mark Puncheon as he's right off form and don't worry about Lambert at the far post as he can't head a ball to save his life. Oh and let Lallana twist and turn cos it never comes to anything. Mark my advice and you should win easily. Happy to help
