She definitely does have an F8 key, it'll be on the top row of keys above all the little letters on the keyboard (trying to make this simple for you) It'll be written next to something, so you're going to have to hold the function key down (Fn) and press F8 (F8) If you still fail at doing that, to restart in safe mode, pull the battery out (once your computer is unplugged from the charge), then when you restart it, the screen will appear before you log in. Failing that, I could connect to your puter remotely to fix it but there is a seriously possibility I'll steal all your passwords/etc...

I actually help out on a computer website removing these viruses and very rarely have I had to help such a useless spaz as EDGE.
