An article for a quiet day.
After 30 years in Chelsea I moved back to Melbourne and now watch CFC in the middle of the night, and our local league in the middle of your night.
There is a kid playing for Central Coast here called Tom Rogic (rog-ich) who is better than any I have seen before.
Given our under 16/17/20s regularly make the finals of FIFA comps, we have produced some excellent players, all of who go to European Clubs at an early age.
As an example, Mark Schwartzer, Harry Kewell, Marc Bosnich, Mark Viduka, John Aloisi, Brett Emmerton, Tim Cahill, and the best of all Christian Vieri, Melbourne born, who chose to represent Italy.
Right now there are 17 Aust jnr. players in European clubs mostly German Bundesliega, Holland ,Italy and Eastern Europe, countries their parents emigrated from.
Rogic is better than all of them.
So if anyone knows Emanelo, tell him !!!

Bresciano was a tidy player too. We've currently got one in our youth side, Luongo. He was part of our Nextgen side that beat Inter's 7-1 and his been one of the stand out players in our youth side, did well in his short lived loan spell at Ipswich and generally seems highly rated at our club.

Hopefully Spurs will pip you to him if he's all that :p

Apparently Reading tried to sign him last year but couldn't get a workpermit, that's part of the problem with non-EU players, that and the travel they have to do for internationals.

Thanks Yid, tghis kid is from Bosnian/Yugo/ Herzo parents and qualifies for an EU passport.
Anyway, just want you all to know about this youngster, he is seriously way above average and would love to see him at Chelsea. Cost ????
Maybe £2mill max, about a weeks pay for our managers on cancellation contracts.

Surely our scouting team under Emanelo must spread their wings beyond Europe! If not its about time they did! In your position CP I'd be dead keen to write to the club and get them on the case! Who knows you might end up with a finders fee!

De Santo, Piazon, Oscar and Wallace are all outside of Europe. Though finding talent in Brazil can't be too tricky!!

Pretty sure they're on the case BM, otherwise I'd put my hand up for the job. I know ManU and Leeds were/are tied up with some Aussie clubs, which is how Leeds got a 17year old Harry Kewell.
On the other side of the coin Del Piero is playing for Sydney and Heskey for Newcastle out here. Both are doing well and I'm amazed to see Heskey is playing better than I thought possible !!! Must be the sunshine !!
