I have seen 5 minutes of Two & a Half Men, and I didn't want to see more. I got everything I needed to know about that and it was sh*** too. Formulaic, comedic sitcom rubbish. Just like the vast majority of other US sitcom comedy. British sitcom comedy is hardly better, though it generally is, slightly better.

 

The writing is dreadful. So, so easy.

 

im sick of the amount of imported american crap we have to put up with. its the reason why i dont watch much tv.

I like Harry & Paul, and I realise that's probably not PC at the moment. Can't help it. They make me giggle. Loved the Ricky Gervais sketch the other weekend. Genuine laugh out loud, and I don't do that often. I also love the sharply observed cursing Mediterranean women. Their timing is brilliant.

 

The Middle is the worse American comedy it makes 2 and a half men look good. When me and a few mates went to a comedy night in London, a spokesman for Sky was there. He showed the viewing figures etc and The Middle is the most watched comedy series of all time, **** knows why is ****ing ****.

Anyone been watching Fresh Meat? I think it's pretty good.

 

There are a lot of good american comedies like: arrested development, scrubs, modern family, malcolm in the middle, early episodes of the simpsons, south park, probably a few more I've missed out. It's jut diluted with a lot of other not so good shows.

 

I watched it once because I heard great things about it and some of the adverts looked good, I thought Jack Whitehall's and the Scottish bloke's characters were funny, but the guy from Inbetweeners, the blond girl and the girl with the husky voice all annoyed me to the point I couldn't tolerate it.

 

I like the blonde, but it might just be because she's pretty hot.

 

Simpsons seasons 3-8 are just about the best thing that has ever been on TV.

 

I loved it as a kid but didn't get half of the jokes, looking back at the earlier seasons now I can really appreciate how brilliant and subtle a lot of the jokes were.

 

Ohhhh, I'm getting slightly better at Planetside2! I managed to get a whole 17 kills today although nearly 60 deaths so my ratio isn't brilliant, but I did get a lot of assists. I'm apparently useless at flying aircraft though.

I really want a new weapon though, something perhaps slower firing but more accurate. Though weapons cost a lot of Cert points so you'd need to play for ageeees to get one. You get one cert point for every 250 xp (you get 100xp for killing someone, around 25xp for an assist, 28xp for reviving someone, about 8xp x 3 if you fully heal someone (less if they already have a lot of health) and a weapon costs 1000 cert points. I've mostly been spending my cert points on improving my medical abilities.

Two and a Half Men isn't THAT bad. It's pretty obvious canned laughter stuff, but Charlie Sheen's charecter is pretty funny. I like how he just drinks and chases women, and has the good life, but his brother tries to do good and his life is **** (although not that **** he lives in a Malibu beach house). Don't take it too seriously or think about it too hard, it's ok, simmiler thing to Friends.

The best US comedy of recent times I think is Archer. It's an animated comedy about a super spy. It's on Netflix if any of you have that. My girlfriend likes Modern Family and Suburgatory, so it means I've watched a few episodes. They have their moments. New series of South Park is good. And I will always love The Simpsons, no matter how bad the newer stuff is, just because it's The Simpsons.

British comedy is always good. New Harry and Paul. Fresh Meat as well, and there's anohter Jack Whitehall comedy were he plays a teacher, which was alright. Cuckoo is pretty funny too. The best comedy series ever made has just started showing a new series... Peep Show is back! Yes! Three-Oh Walcott!

 

100% agree with you regarding The Simpsons and despite it being shocking now, it's reputation preceedes it, and Cuckoo was hilarious - I'm (and so are the actors) hoping for a second series next year. Quality
