Just back from the match. Now I have been one of MON's biggest defenders. I thought we were turning the corner but had been unlucky with results. However tonight we were simply awful. Those players who crossed that white line tonight should offer to pay for everyone in the ground to refund the cost of their ticket. It was the simple lack of heart and guts that got me! Sess' was terrible, never tried all game long. He should hang his head, another Johnson was not interested. Colback is the biggest waste of a central midfield place and I do not know how he is getting picked. Larrson, slow ponderous, couldn't pick a pass . They are the worst central pairing I have seen playing for Sunderland in a long time. Perhaps they were made to look bad by the fact that pretty much every player was hiding and did not want the ball. I would only give Rose credit, excellent in the first half and seemed the only one who wanted the ball. Bardsley tried but was **** going forward and Cueller who seemed to put a shift in. AT NO POINT DID ONE OF OUR PLAYERS EVEN LOOK FOR A BALL OVER THE TOP, WE COULD NOT GET BEHIND QPR AT ALL. The worst thing is QPR were rubbish and we even managed to make them look decent in the second half!!!! O'neill need to start slating a few players - change that ****ing hopeless system. Didn't work when Bruce tried it and it doesn't work now! Sess cannot play in the hole, he cannot link the play, he doesn't offer an out ball, he is easily beaten in the air, get him back on the wing. The midfield has no confiedence. I'm sorry but they need to get two up front with someone on the shoulder of the last defender and look to play a ball over the top. Bypass the midfield as they are **** and incapable of passing the ball forward! How he never brought Vaughan on tonight was mystifying!!!!! He could have used Campbell's pace down the right. Sad to say O'Neill looked devoid of ideas and seemed a man lost to me tonight. In the first half I would have put Rose CM and Colback LB for the sheer reason that Rose wanted the ball! My knee jerk reaction tonight. Bunch of overpaid, heartless bastards who have no pride in the shirt they wear and no balls to stand up and be counted.
From what I've seen of him he certainly looks a player. Would love us to sign him and switch Santon to the right! Never going to happen though!
I think he will end up Spurs first choice left back, pisses all over BAE, and would compliment Bale. He's superb mate, should have done the deal (although we do have option to buy, they'll just quote us silly money now..)
Bit harsh there man. I thought we did alright. Look on the bright side, you could still be without a win
Yeah Levy is like Ashley when it comes to buying/selling. Buys on the cheap but demands top dollar when selling. Still he certainly looks very accomplished the few times I've seen him play for you. Very quick and deceptively strong too.
Soz mate but you were as bad as us and we were awful! I will say your bench looked better than ours but I think you only had one shot like us. It really was a woeful game of football! You will not get an easier chance at three points this season Hoopster. You should be going home with three points as we were shocking!
Mate, you were the worst team I've seen at the SOL in years, but I wish you well, Harry will get you playing. Taraabt looked in terrible shape, fat, not a bit of weight, actually fat. Beats men for fun as well, could be a very good winger, love the lad, hope we do a deal, can't see it.
Bloody hell lads, that sounds bad! I'm getting a different impression from our boys who are just back from the game. They reckon we're on the up! We got to beat Villa on Sat or its curtains. For what its worth, I'm surprised you boys aren't top half this season. I always rated O'Neill.
Have to agree Sunderland were woeful and was shocked at the lack of noise from the home fans. Thought we were a bit over cautious, but no cutting edge in final third. According to Sky we had 5 on target and you had 4 on target.
It's tragic mate, we just slow the game down so much, we never go at teams at home. Look at the first goal v Fulham 2 weeks back, and that's what we are capable of, but we are stifled by the seeming need to go wide every time, even if there's no way of moving forward. I'm amazed it's been allowed to go on so long, your CB's are about as quick as a Metro City with no engine and a boot full of sand, yet we never once ran at them or tried to get in behind. We are in the ****, at least you have the inevitable improvement under Harry to come, we have **** all.
I can't recall 9 chances! Maybe I've wiped the game from my memory. We certainly had 1 good chance to score second half through a fletcher header which your keeper saved. I don't recall a moment when I thought QPR looked like scoring?? To be fair QPR broke well but then seemed timid when they got to ther final third. You looked to keep it tight and had no problems doing that. Harry organised you lot well but you were as bad as us up front. Stamford had 'arry had the balls to push your team on for the wn I honestly think you could have got all 3 points!
That's depressing sh*t Mush. Sounds like you've about as much faith in O'Neill as we had in Hughes. You're right about our CB's. They're a big pair of bruisers who are great in an aerial battle but get turned easily on the floor. Still, you have positives to focus on man. You're not up to your neck in sh*t like us and a couple of wins will send you up table. Why the lack of goals this year? Only Fletcher is scoring and you didn't have him last year so who's not scoring that used to be?
Larrson, Gardner, Sess - NONE of them anywhere near what they were last season. Tel you what I'd take Bendtner back in a heart beat!
Other than Fletcher, did you spend a lot over the Summer? Did you recoup much through sales? I'm just trying to find out if O'Neill is working on a shoestring or is your Chairman backing him?
****house defensive tactics and a lack of confidence. Gutless CM's with no pace or vision. International footballers (yes you Seb Larsson) hiding from the ball. This has gone on for TWENTY FOUR games mate, both wins this season were v 10 men, and both times we were STILL second best. Tonight was the second time all season we have been the better side (marginally...), and the other time was Villa (by a fannies hair) and we lost. Villa owe us £12million for Bent, wipe the debt, take him back, sell Gardner & Vaugham and bring in James Morrison. Play 4-4-2. I f MON won't do it, sack the ****er and get someone who will, or we are down.
Should have went for it in the middle Campbell, Saha, Sess, Johnson, Gardner but no mr negative arse plays a soft touch team, and we were 20 feet away from every player, get Malbranque, Bent, Cisse and Kenwyne back in Jan or we are finished.
I been shocked & appalled since the Boro game & I still can't see why thick sunderland fans want to keep O'Neil for. we going down with this idiot.
