6 year old had it Friday and must have passed it on to me as I've spent all day puking, ****ting and generally feeling like I've been battered all over by rampaging Elephants. To cap it all the twins have just started puking over the floor and Mrs Staines has just getting stomach cramps :(.

It's fun in my household tonight so a 0-0 draw at Sunderland is a chink of light in the darkness.

Not nice, both our neighbours either side have had it - every one of them, and we managed to avoid it even though our kids are in the same class at school. Look for the positives, all that puking will give you hasslehoff abs! Get well soon.

Thanks bruv. I would feel a lot better if I hadn't just read that one of the main ways of getting it is by 'ingesting small droplets of vomit from a carrier'.
So it seems that as I was holding 6 yr old daughters head over the toilet at 1am on Friday, I was at the same time tasting her puke. :(

You'll be ok in 48 hours, had it four years ago and it can be nasty. Passed out on the toilet, broke my nose on the shower unit and ended up in hospital with a suspected cracked bone in my neck. Apart from that no trouble!

Drink plenty of water and don't eat anything for at least two days.

Sounds worse than it was, being strapped to a metal stretcher taped down in a head/neck brace for 10 hrs in A&E was worse than the rest!

Probably good you are all getting it in the same week, that way it's done and dusted for Christmas etc.

You WILL be ok in a couple of days, passes fast, just keep hydrated.

    Like your signature, compagno :)

Yeah it's probably a good thing you're getting it now, early into winter and well before Christmas and New Years, and hopefully you will have developed some immunity to it so you don't get it again this winter!

    Feel well!

Unrelated but I had a flu jab a few weeks back and I was ****ed for days, I have hardly any immune system and ain't felt that bad in a while.

What I didn't actually realise before the jab is they actually infect you with the flu so your body can fight it off...never I again doing that shiz !

Interesting, the jab this year made me feel ill for a month, normally at worst it's a day or two. What's more this year's vaccine is supposed to be useless in preventing 'flu.

Thanks for all your kind words lads. One thing it has got me thinking is about how many times when a player is having a crap game could it be down to a lesser virus or even just flu or a cold.

Then again...it might just be 'cos they are ****e :)

All the best mate, I've done that one. The worst bit is when you think your through it and tentively try to eat something. Usually soup and dry bread. Half an hour later the old guts start growling and making all sorts of weird noises. You go to visit, and the London Blitz is not a funny event, you think your done and before you know it your back on the throne screaming for ya mum. Although your pissing out of your arse at the minute, you should be match fit for Saturday to see us take three points. Good luck my old mate.

I thought you would like the sig Imaz :)

I originally heard the Chumbawamba version but now prefer an original version I've found from the 40's or 50's (I think). The version by 'The Red Army Choir' is pretty good too.
