I'll still be relieved and probably celebrate when we reach the majic point total of 42ish points. Even if just for force of habbit...
I'm always relieved when we reach 42 points - mind you I'm even more relieved when we get to 52.......
my maths is as good as my English then ! lol Still we are only looking up not over oue shoulders, for once, we should enjoy it while it lasts.....
Hope u put a bet on, or do they allow at least four goals to the good side bets? Every time I used to go to the Vic I always put money on final score and first scorer, never won a penny. Good shout about the Yorkshire air!! Wee need Sheff Utd in our league too...and Bradford...
Be good to see what those at the ground have to say, hope they have a safe journey back !! Right back to work for me, laters guys and gals!! Cheers all for the updates !! Viva Watford FC.
Alas they don't even allow betting Mex. I used to have a fairly good record on the fix-odds coupon. I miss that.
Very happy bunny tonight - another strong win and showing improvements each game. Need to start fast and strong on sat and carry on this form. Need a couple of teams to stall and we will be challenging - millwall look like the form team to follow. BB - Dorchester is a very pretty town and even more in my heart after tonight. They cannot beat a team of part timers, the tramps!
Just to say that after 19 games Granada were also 8th, and like us had a poor start to the season but grew as the team started to get used to playing with each other, this led to a better 2nd half of the season which ended in promotion. Hopefully the same with watford!!!
Well that was one hell of a trek!! Over 5hours to get there all due to "animals on the carriageway". What a joke, just kick the buggers or drive at them, they will soon move. But despite only seeing 40mins of the game I am pretty happy, unbeaten in Nov, highest number of away goals scored and showing a lot of promise. Things are looking up for us.
Well done for yesterday Watford, and for the last few weeks, HTID if you manage to catch this post when you eventually haul yourself out of bed, IOU some Winners rep, Long may it continue!
Re the discussion re safety this season... If 42 is the mark.... Conservatively..... we should be safe by 19th Jan LOL!!!
For some reason the BBC did not have the usual results page updating, in fact it didn't even start. Therefore thanks to all those that provided the running commentary here.
The headline says it all. http://www.express.co.uk/football/view/361106/Major-month-for-Watford-delights-Gianfranco-Zola Millwall however have done better, so the curse that is the MOM award should go to KJ.
Yes and all southern teams at the top this month: http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/november.html
Very pleased with that performance especially the second half but it could have been a very different story. Almunia pulled off a couple of great saves including the penalty- was not at the game so would welcome any opinions on how well Almunia played. We seem to be hitting the target more regularly. Against Blackpool we only had 4 attempts on goal with 3 on target - last night 11 attempts (mainly second half) and 10 on target. That is a total of 6 goals scored from 15 attempts. Winning can become infectious but we seem to find it quite easy especially away from home - as it stands I would be surprised if we did not go up the season - shame really as I love the Championship.
Fantastic result and well done our mods and all the others who got there! Does this start to answer the question as to whether our soft southerners will handle 'playing at Barnsley on a dark night in January' or whatever the cliche is?
