Afternoon Ladies and Gentleman I've been reading and thinking quite considerably about our current predicament....taking in a lot of people's views on here and other comments from various stories about whether Harry could actually save QPR from relegation. A lot of people are under the impression that the damage is done and only having 4 points from 13 games is too much of a loss to recover. This lead me to look into our results last season as we did actually loose a considerable amount....in fact we had similar bad patches to the current one we are going through, but it was hidden under a slightly better start. For example on the 26th of November we lost 2-1 to Norwich...from that point we went on a run of 16 games and only got 7 points. If we win tonight then that patch last season would have been worse....only masked by a slightly better start. So tonight is a massive game for us against another team doing poorly. If we win and then possibly win against Villa ill be very positive. Our team needs us, so lets all sing off the same Hymn sheet! Onwards and upwards! You R's!!
Good point. I will be very interested to see what team Harry starts with. I think within three games he will have chosen his regular eleven. Hope he also makes use of his bench a little batter than our previous manager.
Bloody good point Frankster I guess the general fear is mostly about needing to instill momentum from the start of the season, but hopefully Harry will bring a lot of momentum with him. Houston, I hope he doesn't batter our bench
Well after 21 games last season we only had 16 points. We never won an away game for the rest of that season....I can't see why Harry can't turn it around.
That means if we can get more than 12 points in the next 8 games, we will be doing better than last season.
Quite honestly, I'm pretty terrified about how things are, particularly our pathetic defending at corners. But there was perhaps just enough last Saturday to show we can get out of this. Next two games to define rest of season? We need at least 4 points otherwise we're fooked, IMO.
Agree Nines, unless we lose. In which case we should recalibrate the minimum requirement. And continually reassess until, one way or another, we don't have to......
As I said, It's a point in the right direction. 3 points would have been better but a point away to Sunderland is good. Back to back wins the next two games.
