A lot of the MoN Out brigade were shouting for his head earlier in the season when were basically playing ****e and not losing games.

Last 4 games we've played well and lost 3 of them so we are no playing well and losing - what would everyone rather?

I thought we deserved the points against Villa and deserved at least a point against Everton and West Brom (West brom I fancy we'd have got a minimum of a point had Liam Ridgewell not decided to impersonate Tom Daley)

There have been a lot of people complaining about performances well we've turned that around but we have got 3 points from the last possible 12.

I am fully behind MON and don't want my cliub to turn into a Chelsea and sack a manager for the sake of it.

Just hope we can ruin Harry's night tonight

It never ceases to amaze me how quick some of our fans turn on the manager and the team..Unity is Strength, and without it we have no chance of making progress..

MoN will be here for a long time (I hope) but I think he needs some help

I hope he can bring John Robertson into the club and a young coach who will work with MoN and his staff to add some fresh idea's, maybe someone who has hung there boots up over the last couple of years.

Totally agree, it will take time for Martin to build what he wants. I'm also not blinded by his reputation as if he starts making serious mistakes I will be looking for answers as would anyone. One thing is for sure is that if we keep getting impatient and sacking managers we can look forward to many more years in the wilderness.

Certainly with you on that one mate - Robertson may get the best out of McClean (or even the average would be nice!)

MoN is the best manager we have had in my 39 years and the best available out there right now.

I have not the slightest doubts he will get it right here (but wish we would play with more than 1 established striker especially at home).

When I think of some of the dross I've watched in the past 4 decades, under some of the most unqualified and useless managers imaginable, to hear complaints about the club right now is quite funny.

I have dreamed of the time we had a REAL quality manager with a sterling pedigree and a brilliant mind to lead us out of the darkness. Martin is that man. Get behind him and give him your all because if he were to leave due to the boo boys, it terrifies me to think what level of complete muppet we may bring in to replace him.

He still has the passion. We have been unlucky. Keep going.

I think we all know its a results business.

Play great, score lots, pleasure to watch but we are getting beat 5-4 every week, manager will get sacked. (apart from the toon where he will be the messiah)

Play boring long ball football, but win 1-0 every week, manager will be a legend (unless he is at the toon where he will get sacked)

I do like MON and I do not want him to get sacked, I just wish he would broaden his transfer activities away from the British Isles now and again, and he does have his favourite 11 which is fine, but wish he would change it more often especially when we can all see it isnt quite working.

But yeah he does need more time, but I also have no problem with the ones that want him out as they dont think its working, we are all entitled to our opinions.

I think MON is missing Robertson. Every manager needs their right-hand man (Cloughie and Taylor being the obvious ones that springs to mind), so it must be difficult to keep an eye on everything when you don't have that resource available. When MON first joined and brought with him that enthusiasm that goes with a new, proven manager, he didn't need Robertson. Now I think he'd snap his hand off if he decided to return to football.

Cest - like you kept saying when you wanted Bruce out, "its a results business" and thats why SB had to go.

Well MoNs results are even worse, and if its wasn't MoN he would have been sacked long ago.

We haven't beaten 11 men for over 8 months, we are playing sh7te football, MoN keeps picking players who are clearly out of form.

IMO Harry will weave his magic tonight and QPR will be worthy winners......

I wonder what some of you will be saying at 10pm when that happens.

MoN has simply not got "it" anymore and its time for him to go.

shame that is it's unlikely. I'd actually like it if he could get a new number 2 - someone like Henrik Larsson who is learning his trade, wants a new challenge and has a relationship with MON. .....also someone who is more attacked minded.

Bart what happens if he goes, we bring someone else in and things get no better? The club pay off a big contract and we get relegated? That's a distinct possibility. I think mon will improve. We have deserved points in every one of our last 4 games and with more luck would have had at least 6 points if not 8 or 9. If we play every game that way we'll win more than we lose IMO so saying QPR will get a deserved win makes no sense as it insinuates we've been rubbish recently when we blatantly haven't.

But you could get knocked over tomorrow by a bus, but that doesnt mean you will never leave the house again for the rest of your life.

We just dont know what will happen either way we could go down with MON but we could get 8th and an FA cup run/win as well same for any new manager.

Its a huge decision for Short but none of us has a crystal ball so whatever decision is taken, its a chance of good, bad or ****ing disaster.

I just think MoN has lost it - though I did not want him in the 1st place.

I realy hope he can turn it round - just don;t think he will.
