Nah we never really made a long lasting impact anywhere, let alone the EPL, maybe if he had stayed at Arsenal for 5-6 years then he could have had the same impact as Henry. He would definitely be in top 10 for value for money 2 great seasons for 500k sold for 23mn

But how do you define top 10?
If we think of it as in the transfers that have had the most beneficial impact on their club, I still think Anelka makes it

I'd put Anelka in there. Wherever he's played, he's been really influential. Largely wasted a lot of his career moving around though. He could have been helping us to win titles instead of keeping Bolton up. . .

Now that's a list i would be more inclinded to agree with. I also don't agree with Cantona being number one as i think Henry had more of an impact for Arsenal. Manure lost Cantona and still carried on winning, when we lost Henry, it went downhill from there. We still haven't replaced Henry, and that was many moons ago. Also you could argue Ronaldo should be on that list. He had an even bigger impact for Manure than Cantona. His stats were amazing.

How could everyone forget Aspirilia, the original bendy-man from fantastic four. I loved that guy when he played for Newcastle. Also loved watching Ginola link up with him. Outside Arsenal, those Kevin Keegan teams were my favourites.

Yeah i thought about Ronaldo but we was a great player for them and then arguably the best player in the world for those last 2 seasons, but then he left right as he was hitting his stride if he had stayed then absolutely but we only saw his best for a very short period. Cantona i always akin to Bergkamp that he was this phenomenal player who was known and who came in and put his stamp on the team made an impact that changed the way the team played and worked. Cantona started the Great UTD dominance (which they have continued) like bergkamp started Arsenal's freer attacking football style with an edge and rise to the top (which we haven't continued).

Good points on Bergy, he did kick things off for Arsenal. I suppose both teams had great players running right through the team. We had Viera, they had Keane, we had a great CB pairing and so did they etc.

Bergkamp was the best player the Premier League has ever seen.

A United player was always going to be first on that list. I haven't seen the list yet but I'd have had

    1. Bergkamp
    2. Zola
    3. Henry
    4. Cantona
    5. Ronaldo
    6. Shearer
    7. Drogba
    8. Vidic
    9. Torres (from AM to Liverpool obviously)
    10. Overmars/Makalele

A lot of bias to attacking players there I know <ok>

    1) Henry
    2) Keane
    3) Vieira
    4) Ronaldo
    5) Shearer
    6) Cantona
    7) Drogba
    8) Bergkamp
    9) Carvalho
    10) Lampard

3 Arsenal, 3 Man Utd, 3 Chelsea & 1 Blackburn pretty much sums it up. The people who have most money make the best signings shock!!

This would be my top 10. A lot unlucky to miss out though like A.Cole, Hyypia, Torres, Pires, Fabregas, Alonso, Cahill, Arteta (to Everton), RVP (to Arsenal), Sol Campbell (to Arsenal), Reina, Cech, Vidic etc.

<cough> Downing <cough> Carrol <cough> Henderson (what happened to him) <cough> suarez <cough> el hadj diouf (long ago but I hate him) <cough> Keane <cough> Aquilaini

These are recent signings (apart from Diouf), so don't you dare pretend that you haven't had the money to splash, you've just had managers that had made awful, AWFUL decisions
