http://www.footballpress.net/index.php?action=read&idsel=84166 "Jermaine Defoe can soon leave Tottenham. According to Daily Express, Sunderland and Newcastle are observing Spurs striker. Now Harry Redknapp will decide if hold him or not." Thoughts? Would you take him or would you leave him for the mags. One thing is for sure, He wouldnt be in the England squa again if he came uphere.
I would take him, he scores goals, is he the Mr Nice guy Bent was, I thought not but I was wrong about Bent. For me all I ask from any signing is they do their job, put a shift in and do their best for my team, he would.
The question is not is he a little prick, but would he improve the side. He would MASSIVELY improve the side.
Yes he would and hes a very good player always hits the target but hes not that target man we are looking for.
I can still see a deal with Gyan going the other way, lots of spuds players I like who would make it a good deal to me.
We'd still nedd 2 strikers, Graham and a target man, plus 1 more if Gyan were to leave. I'll be gutted if Gyan goes mind, much more so than Bent
Facts are Ballin', Spurs are a much better side/squad. I don't care who we sin players from, if they improve us.
We dont need a target man anywhere near as much as we need a goal scorer! Gyan, Defoe & Zamora would be a nice trio to start with next season
I don;t think Gyan is worth that much. Maybe just the players, but the cash is pushing it way too far imo
I reckon, realistically, we could look for similar to Bent for Gyan. ã12million Defoe, ã6million Nico, ã5million Hutton and ã8million Palacios. All my opinion of course i ain't suggesting Spurs would see it that way!
i think they would sell palacios for 4mill and probably want 7 for hutton too get back what they paid. Didnt they not accept a 3mill bid for Kranjcar in Jan off Wolfsburg?
They did, supposedly, but then he had a few decent games for them when called upon so they'd probs want a bit extra. If we can get Palacios for ã4, then smashing! We'd need another Hondouran to be his mate, i nominate Emilio Izugarre, thus fixing the left back dilemma!
