I don't believe this will happen for a second BUT if it did, I don't think wages would be a problem. Barca have to pay him wherever he is and we would be an excellent fit - more so with Laudrup's connection - as they know that he would get games and that Laudrup would look after him. Also, our Spanish contingent would make him feel at home. It's a win win situation. For us it's obvious; for Barca, it's about a hugely valuable asset getting up to speed with a football playing team in a high quality league; and gaining experience of playing against top English clubs which would stand him in good stead in the Champion's League. And, of course, Barca would gain whatever salary was agreed for the player. It won't happen but it's not as daft as it sounds.
