Despite what I said I do have to concede that he did a brilliant job for your lot.

Given todays news, I think John Ruddy is staying at NCFC for the rest of this season at least.

I would be gutted to lose Ruddy because I really think that his soul is with the club and he is not seeing us as a stepping stone to greater things. If he is sold it would not be because he has manufactured it IMO. He RM, Hoolahoopps and Holty are the soul of the team and it would be hard to swallow. I hope the rumour is wrong.

Although I would say Ruddy is our most marketable player, I think it would take a bit more than Arsenal are willing to pay for him to get him to go. He's very settled here and genuinely likes the club, currently on a 4 year deal. Arsenal are notoriously tight fisted so I can't see 9m for "just the Norwich keeper"

I think ruddy will be with us for a while. A few more awesome performances at the back end of this season/start of next season though and an offer may be made we can't refuse.

In sorry but £9m a lot of money??? We're in the Premier league now who do we think we are Ipswich???

£9m is NOT a lot of money for an international quality keeper on a VERY long contract.

To be honest nine million is an insult to NCFC

£9m would make him the =6th most expensive 'keeper in the world. Whilst outfield players tend to go for more, goalkeepers tend to be cheaper. Ruddy is pretty grounded, but he could easily have his head turned by the chance to play (maybe) Champions League football, and it would significantly improve his England chances. Yes he has a long contract and we don't need to sell, but keeping a player against his wishes has its pitfalls. I think we'd be lucky to get £9m for someone who's been injured most of the season and isn't his countries first, and possibly not even their second, choice. Just playing devil's advocate though, I'd personally hope he'd stay.
