I think the discussion would be between Lallana and Gaston, but Gaston would be very eager and persuade Adam to let him have it... Then blaze it over the bar and cue jokes from all corners about him being worth £12m. <laugh>

That Billy Sharp penalty miss last season at Blackpool was a nightmare considering what happened after

Now that was a miserable day. We were taken apart by Dobbie. Bloody Dobbie.

Lawro's Prediction: Southampton 2-0 Norwich City

"It is Southampton's attacking players who I think will make the difference here"

We got completed ripped to shreds in that game on both flanks. Seem to remember Hoovield missing a free header that was harder to miss than score if my memory serves me right along with the missed penalty both at 0-0. Funny in hindsight but certainly wasn't at the time

As I said on the other thread yesterday, I think you could play this match five times and get five completely different results.

Very hard to call, so I'll sit on the fence and say 1-1.

Same XI again please Nigel, if everyone is fit enough.

After my stunning success with the last match prediction I am going for 2 (Rodriguez, Puncheon) - 1 (Holt)

Just watched motd2, gotta say you looked good, made even better by newcastles defending as well
Lallana, puncheon, Lambert and gaston very attacking and linked up well together
I Always thought once you'd got the right team playing week in week out youd string some wins together, just hope not Wed night

Lawro rarely predicts a positive result for us

Same for us - he has been particularly scathing about our defence.

He must have a problem with you judging by the table of his predictions

Now Lawro suddenly can't say a bad thing against us - we must have improved drastically!

I'm sure his and most of our predictions are on the basis Lambert starts. Really hoping Lambert's ok

Lawrenson is just bitter we made him look like a fool.

The worst thing about this game is going to be the amount of Lambert vs. Holt comparisons made in the press. <steam>

2-2 Lambert injured would be a massive blow. Can see us drawing this without Lambert starting and then pumping liverpool 3-1 with Lambert scoring a pen.

Same team and tactics. Perhaps a bit more width

Took that pen against Wednesday for us in the Capital One Cup, it just about got into the goal!

Haha, I remember that. I particularly love the way he says that Norwich were stupid to sack Gunn after one game - and follows it up by predicting they will get relegated to League Two, based on one game.

Prick of the highest order is old Lawro.
