To be fair tho Stoke have got one of the richest chairman so should be staying up,

My dads best mate is an arsenal season ticket holder costs him around 2000 a year plus 80 quid a home game travel he's also an away season ticket holder proper fan travels from Leeds every Saturday but everyone who speaks to him he says "I'm an arsenal fan" they just presume he's a plastic

A plastic fan to me is someone who only "supports" their team when thing are going well. If you look and Leeds attendaces from when they was in the Premiership compared to League 1 you can see how many true fans Leeds have and how many good time Charlies turned up. Leeds have always kept decent attendaces except this season where they have been a little down but thats you lot taking a stand against Uncle Albert.

Not being able to afford going to games doesnt make you a plastic fan. Only caring when you win makes you plastic <ok>

The year both us and Leeds was in League 1 they averaged 24K and we averaged 20K. Both very good for that League

The next highest was Huddersfield with 13K so it just shows both Leeds and Leicester have a pretty loyal fan base

Not much of a test to be fair. Several decades of struggling lurching from proper thieves to disaster could just test that, especially given the 50% drop in fans between Division One and Division two.

I think we still hold the attendance record in the old division three. <ok>

Don't disagree with your argument about plastics, although figures can be deceptive as some grounds are smaller than others or end up with adjusted capacities, also for example, we had a prolonged period of protest at the time some like to chuck our lower attendances about, so low figures don't automatically mean fickle fans. Likewise, some clubs dropped their prices to keep fans on board, some to such a degree it almost put them under.

stokes chairman is rich, but only puts any money up for transfer fee's,wages have to come from income they also have not put up season ticket renewals since championship days.I have 2 mates that pay about £350 for their season tickets.According to the mongrel your dads m8 is a plastic.

But if he walked to elland rd and went 2 or 3 b games at £26 that would make him a real fan.

Where have the 13,000 Leeds plastics gone since your exit from the Premier league?

No losing to Burnley and the Mackems sent us down. Don't know where you got this Stoke sent us down bollocks from.

You've picked out our worst gate, but you've conveniently missed off where we've got gates of 20K+ at the KC in the bottom division and they weren't just at the end of a promotion campaign.

City are historically a second tier side, so getting promotion to that division isn't a glorious acheivement, it's just getting back to where we belong.

As for attendances, our gates are down from last season, but we're better this year than last. Makes no sense, you'd think more people would come to games.

When teams build new stadium there average gate for the first year is always high. Brighton got a big average last season. We averaged 29K in our first year at the Walkers Stadium and we was in the first divison/ Championship

You seem to attribute comments to me that I haven't made, so I reckon the carer that reads the posts to you is lifting your leg a tad, either that or you really are thick. <ok>

I think we score fairly highly on the support in the lower league stakes, particularly when you consider our history(or lack of it).

    Premier League 2008/09 - 24,816(capacity)
    Championship 2007/08 - 18,024
    Championship 2006/07 - 18,583
    Championship 2005/06 - 19,838
    League One 2004/05 - 18,027
    Division Three 2003/04 - 16,811

Rather dispels the myth about all the new fans hoping on board too, we obviously got more in the Premier League, but then so does every other club.

I don't think there's anything wrong with picking a club to support that you have no natural association with, that's why in the next World Cup I'll be supporting Brazil. And from then on, I'll stick with them, years down the line when they're doing ****, I'll be able to say I'm not a bandwagon jumper, I've supported them for years. <ok>

I honestly can't see the difference between someone from Ireland picking Leeds because they were successful in the 70's to someone from Surrey picking Man Utd because they were successful in the 90's.
If anything at least the Surrey based Man Utd supporter has chosen a team from his own country.

I'm open to an explanation as to the difference if there is one.

I think it just gets on people's tits when smaller clubs get mocked for being just that by supporters of bigger clubs when they don't even come from the City they are bragging about.

I've told my son that he'll get the piss ripped out of him for supporting Hull City when he goes on his first lads holiday by lads from other towns and cities but deep down they'll respect his decision to support his home town club.

His mates who say they support Man Utd will just get laughed at full stop and have will no credibility in the eyes if any real football fan.
You come from Hull you support Hull, it's as simple as that for me.

That's how I see the whole Irish support for Leeds.

Not saying I'm right but that's just my opinion and I'm sorry if it offends.
