Prefer not to mate, as the lad's name has already been "put out there". Suffice to say that they were in the old Hellenic league when I played for them in the Premier division. It was a feeder to the Southern League back then. They are now actually in the Southern League.
Nice one Col, offspring performance always brings out the best in us competitive Dads! And on that note I'm punching the air as I've just been told my 12 year old daughter has made it into the Warwickshire hockey development squad - top 35, next hurdle making it into the 25 in January.....if only I could make any sense of the game...... ...sorry lads, but sometimes this is the ideal place to celebrate with strangers, whether they want to or not....
At last, some good news! Congratulations, Col, and to your son, putting into practice what he's be taught by his (not so) old Dad. Edit - just seen this was posted on the 18th - I must have missed it the first time around - he's probably scored again since then!
No worries mate, I know the league you are talking about and there are some good teams in there. Good standard of footy too. good luck to him.
Cheers. (Sometimes it's nice to just chat about other things other than the eternal nightmare that is QPR eh?)
