You're actually correct there Finn. He was better than his previous games. Still, it'll take a lot more than one half-hearted effort of a game to win over the fans.

He runs a lot, both forward and in defense - saw him clearing up back there more than once Saturday. I also think he could run more sometimes, but often strikers who run all over the park are too knackered to score - then its better they do the hands on hips and shakeing head bit, and save themselves for when they might score! If Arry is as good a manager so many think he is, he'll get Cisse fired up and scoring like he did last season. It is pretty important for us that both Cisse and Mackie start banging in a few every game now. If they don't we probably will be relegated whatever happens in January, it will be too late then.

Cisse only cares about himself, hes rather score 1 goal than set up 2 goals. That was confirmed when he put his hands in his head after we scored right after his penalty miss, he was unhappy. He also had the chance to lay on an easy chance for Mackie, it was just a 10 yard pass to put him clean through but he shot into a defenders legs instead.

I would gladly welcome back the 'red mist' Cisse as his suspensions was always followed up with goals. Maybe he needs a red card as much as a goal at the moment? :)

Stupid comment I know, but hey ho ;)

The pass to Adel v Reading ?

He's not getting the service he needs, make chances for him, he's deadly.

    just a good tune?

Now the players who came here for the money will expose themselves as they run like rats from a sinking ship. This should make Harry's job far easier as he will be left with those who want to fight. If they manage to escape the drop these players will have achieved something very special which in turn will create new levels of expectations to players joing the club in the future.

Fully agree. We simply are not creating chances. We have been far too slow in our build up with most chances coming from long distance.

because he isn't making any runs, the game slows in midfield cos he is standing there like a numpty instead of making runs to pull the defence around. Yes he can score goals but he isn't a team player, he sulks and moans which has a detramental effect on the team. He is the perfect example as to why we are in this mess right now.... him and bosingwa do not care about anyone else but themselves, over £60k a week ffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not in the real world. He got sent off for reacting to a tackle because he had legs broken before, comes back from suspension and produces a tackle far worse himself!

No, the one to Mackie at OT. He would have been clean through.

There was about 10 times at OT when Mackie failed to find Cisse and Cisse failed to find Mackie in at least promising situations, our final ball in otherwise good counter attacks was usually terrible. I don't think it was because they weren't trying, but it seemed like they weren't used to playing with each other to me, even though they have been training together at least for nearly a year! Smacked of bad training sessions from Hughes team to me. The one time Cisse found Mackie really well, Mackie went unecessarily offfside before burying it like he did at City - a big shame that one.

Yeah, there were signs they could be a good partnership, just need to work on it.

It's great how unforgiving we are. He was instrumental in our survival last year. He put in a real shift at OT. There us an element of selfishness about strikers, I'd be more concerned if he didn't care about scoring!
BUT to top it all the bloke is going through a crap divorce involving kids yet we expect him to be normal. Anybody who has been through it will tell you it's a bloody difficult time and will effect you both mentally and physically.

Oh cry me a river. His $90K per week should help soothe his "pain".

This is the kind of stuff that makes me wonder are some people living in the real world at all. Honestly '74, I expected more from you.

Kerry, I don't know what line of work you're in but I'm fairly certain that if your job performance went to sh*t, your marital problems wouldn't hold much water with your boss for that long at all. Plus, I doubt you're in a kind of job that requires you only to perform for 90 minutes weekly. Not to mention that Cisse's job is seen as a recreational activity by a lot of people.

I'm also quite confident that you're not earning 75 thousand Euro a week!

Honestly, are you boys on the wind up here?

Surely If Cisse wants to leave, he will up his overall performance on the pitch to get people speaking about how good he is. I hoped when he initially joined he wpiuld be scoring the goals that would take us up the league - I still believe he can do it but we need to give him the ball in the areas where he can make a difference. Playing Jamie Mackie up front should have hopefully inspired Cisse to play for the shirt rather than the pay packet.

On the subject of Cisse wanting to leave, I just wonder how many other Mark Hughes signings will want out as well?

Thought he did well against Man U and divorce woes aside he's got plenty of reason to be depressed by having to mainly play alone up front for a team with little possession and fewer chances. All his mistakes and moans are highlighted by the scarcity of chances he's had.

I still rate him, more talented striker than Zamora or Mackie despite all the effort the latter may put in. Look at Carroll in comparison, £30 million for a donkey.

It's the real world and that's my point. I'll try not to bite swords but unless you've been through it you will have no idea how draining it is. I'm considered bloody good at my job with numerous awards in my field and love my job, however when dealing with my kids and a ripped apart marriage it became very much secondary. No matter who you are you can't take your mind off it.
