Unfortunately we must bite the bullet and part with him at the end of the season.

He has assembled a team of good players but he seems totally lacking in the ability to motivate them.

Wrong choice for Captain. Catts leads by example yes, but he's too young and he's aggressive by nature. Great on the pitch but may possibly be a problem in the dressing room.
Part of his job is to develop the team spirit and I 'm not sure he has the right sort of personality to do this with the more experienced internationals around him.

And finally Bruce should have looked closely at the injury situation much earlier rather than complain about it now when it's too late.

I've supported him all the way but I just feel that if he remains in charge next season will be a repeat of this one.

Yes - But only untill Quinnie calls time & asks him to leave the building. For some reason & I don't know quite what but before Christmas it was like what heaven must be like. Every ManU/Liv/Chelski/Arse tosser I know has given me **** for years & I quite enjoyed being able to reply for once about supporting a REAL football club & not one for queens. It's for that lame reason I'll KTF but then what f*** do I know about running a football club except how to dream.

    Voted keep Bruce.

Sacking Brucey does not solve the injury crisis, give him another season and a summer to recruit some new faces and then judge him.

Fans forget our start to the season and also forget Bent's departure and the horendous injury count, not even Mourinho could have kept us in 6th place then.

Interestingly Roger this poll is hardly scientific and may be useful as a bit of fun, but it can't really be taken as an indicator of the YES/NO split. Many of those who would vote no are probably so pissed off with the whole shebang that they don't even log on this site.

If this vote was a 40,000 crowd though that'd be 20,000 unhappy campers, that's a ****ing big deal a 50/50 split.

More people still want Bruce to stay than to go. If Quinn is a follower of Bentham's Utilitarianism (which I'm sure he is), he has to do what will make the greatest happiness for the greatest number.

Good luck, son. I'm sure you'll do very well. You're obviously a bright kid - team you support and friends in high places!!

What has Jeremy Bentham's concept of utilitarianism got to do with this. His faith in Bruce appears to have been drawn from a lifetime's dedication to the study of Voltaire, surely? Such an exponent is he (Quinn) that he has converted the hitherto passive Mr Short as an acolyte. Whatever happens and no matter how bad it gets. it's all for the best.

Sorry, but I think that the club is run more likely in accordance of Kant's deontological ethics. In trying to achieve the summum bonum, in this case an established top 10 premiership team, we are doing our duty by not sacking Bruce. Sacking of a manager can't be universalised, as if it was nobody would become a manager. We are not keeping him solely because of the summum bonum, as this would go against the good will. We are keeping Bruce on because it is our duty as a moral football club to do so.
