Dani Alves off injured for Barca against Levante. Looks like a sore arm. The ibtroduction of Montoya means all eleven on the field came through the ranks. I don't know that necessarily weakens them any.

Despite the Benfica and ICT disappointments I am watching the Barca game now. To put our performance into context. Levante did brilliantly for 45 minutes. Come out in the second half and lose 3 in 11 minutes. Iniesta has torn them apart all by himself. Setting the wee Argentinian boy up for 2 and smashing in another himself.

Edit: he's set up another for Fabregas.... Simply a wonderful goal. If this Barca shows up against Benfica then we only have to worry about ourselves.

As you're watching it you'll no doubt have noted by now that it didn't weaken them one bit given the goals they've hammered in. :emoticon-0105-wink: The only thing that needs to happen is for Pedro Eliezer Rodríguez Ledesma to get on the score sheet - he's been very poor at finishing lately.

And no EC. Didn't weaken them at all. The pen must have been given for a foul. Very harsh.

Indeed, plus the fact that he was their manager for less than 26 weeks - 26 being the atomic number for iron - the omens were not good, on top of which given Sevco not being in the SPL, there was no hope for him ... :emoticon-0111-blush

I didn't know there were two Barcelona teams. It must be hard in Spain to have to play two Barcelonas, I am sure
Rebelbhoy will soon know which of the teams will be playing Benfica next.

    I dunno man.

Losing the game at home wouldn't be an anti-climax as such but it would be going out with a whiper rather than a bang.

Regardless of what happens in Barca, I want us to win on Wednesday.

I kinda wish it wasn't a home game giving our current home form. Lustig will win this game for us he's been our best player in europe this season.

Thomas , if you look at the nervous and poorly played performance at Benfica I am very glad we are playing at home. I just hope
our fans can drive the team on from start to finish as I think that not only can they spur on our players but I think
they can get at the Sparta team who have only pride to play for, and may just go off the boil in the atmosphere our fans create.
