No. It's just that I can't understand why people see fit to fill forum threads with unsubstantiated gossip. Newspapers do it to sell copies, Joe Blogg's football website does it to get advertising revenue. But why do we do it?
Because many of us are gullible! A common mistake amongst honest people who expect honesty from reporters!
We're laughing at this unsubstantiated gossip, how stupid it is if it is true or not. At least I am, that's why I mentioned it.
But aren't human beings supposed to learn from experience dave? Maybe the question should be: Why do people who know perfectly well that a "news item" is almost certainly ill-founded rumour, invention or sheer speculation, nevertheless regurgitate it?
I agree Robbie, but I'm sure many regurgitate it to show the stupidity of the reporter as much as anything else!
Now THAT I accept wonky. If only it was true of all such posts! (I appreciate that the OP was intended in that spirit.)
As the OP, I can assure it was just showing how the press are spouting unconfirmed rumours. As I said - some players would have to be sold (if any other club would buy them) to make way for these new players!!!
