There's a difference between a scam cult and a religion. Scientology is not a recognised religion in the UK or in many other nations: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology_status_by_country
Agreed. But even if he was, he shouldn't be excluded because of that. It should be based on his footballing ability and potential to help the team alone. On a wider note, is it simply numbers that determine whether something is a cult or a religion? Taking numbers out of the equation, one could say that Roman Catholicism is the biggest cult in the World.
Same here, religion is all about money and the brainwashing/control of people. You just have to look at the past to see that. Scientology is just the most brash example of it. A friend of my mothers got done by them, he lost everything, his money, house etc.
I know, they kill people to if they cross them as well as try to ruin peoples lives if they leave. They just pray on the stupid (Hollywood) and the vulnerable.
Certainly the more extreme religions that can lull the gullible into their ranks on the pretence of "doing God's work". They are very dangerous and have been at least partially responsible for the slaughter of countless people throughout the ages. Making religion illegal though is absurd.
That's true, then there's the torture at their detention centre in the desert and thei providing for the "certain interests" of certain famous adherents. (Allegedly)
That ain't religion, mate, that's a cult for barmy people. Had no idea the Beckhams were in on that.............
