This always happens. We get about five races a year like this. The teams now say they expect a dry race, but they'll still spend most of it telling their drivers that rain is imminent.
Judging by the skies, I think 'proper' rain is unlikely during the race. Perhaps a few spits but probably nothing to trouble the track. A bit of a disappointment for the neutrals, as well as Ferrari; because rain would make for a far more exciting finale!
Bah! I'm bored of this weather watching it's out of our hands anyway, there is nothing we can do except watch and see who comes out on top!
It looks overcast and the drizzles seem like they are brewing. Many drivers pitting at many times I think.
Andrew Benson ‏@andrewbensonf1 . @LewisHamilton "It is the first time I've been here and they are not booing me, they are booing Alonso" Guess Alonso is by himself this time?
Scuderia Ferrari ‏@InsideFerrari No rain expected during the race. After one week of unanimous forecasts for a rainy Sunday we will have a dry race.
Epic fail from channel 10 partway through the pre-show: "We'd like to welcome our viewers in Western Australia, glad you could join us, we'll take a commercial break now" <facepalm>
Jake's last coverage today, he has been a great presenter to be honest. From bamzooki to F1, who would have thought it. Loads of endings today.
Righto, guys I'll catch up with you after the race (or during if red-flagged), unless Vettel wins, in which case I'll be emulating Westy by taking shelter in forum-argument-proof bunker
